On the whole it was okay, and we would stay here again, but there were a couple of issues that need addressing..Whilst the rooms are large, clean and comfortable, the storage was lacking. There was literally only one drawer in the room (probably okay for a single traveller staying one night, living out of a bag, but not for a couple staying multiple nights). The breakfast was really tasty, but the breakfast staff seemed to be a little bit disorganised, regularly running out of things like orange juice, eggs, teaspoons etc. Whilst they replenished things quickly when they were brought to their attention, they should really be on it before things run out.Other than those two issues, it's a really conveniently located hotel, comfortable and the rooms are nice and quiet at night .

I have used these hotels many times in UK (in this very same holiday in Inverness) but this time was not a positive experience. Low value for money, family room is small, bed sheets for the smallest of the bed were not covering the underneath sofa, not super clean (at least this is the perception looking at the moquette).. but toilet was ok. There was a problem with one of the room (our friend were without electricity for one night), things that can happen of course, but the manager at the reception was very little empathic… we didn’t expect a free room, but maybe a free breakfast for the ones in the room or a simple we are ‘sorry’ why not. Location is great, literally few steps from Grassmarket!

Very efficiently run hotel. Just outside of the main area but within walking distance. Quiet hotel, clean room, good range of food available for breakfast. Would definitely return.

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable and the location was prefect for us. The HDMI cable in the all was great. We took advantage of the storage facility on check out so we could spend more time at Edinburgh Castle. The only negative was that our room was located near the lifts and stairway door so it could be a bit noisy occasionally.

Worst hotel stay of my life! we had a reservation with a friend for a double room with two single beds for 3 months and once we arrived they told us that there was no room for us and if we wanted, only a room for disabled people with a queen size bed was left available , which we had to accept because, as they themselves said, there were no more places in the city due to the International festival. cleaning of the rooms non-existent if you don't change towels, bathroom door extremely noisy and not sliding so we asked to be able to have maintenance never arrived, bathroom shower that leaked water in two different points and again no maintenance, extremely rude staff who obvious issues of racism towards Italians, especially what looked like the staff coordinator who seemed to be waiting for us at the gate, as they have treated us like we were thugs since we arrived. They made our stay in Edinburgh miserable, considering the very high and unjustified price paid. And they charge for breakfast too. I will never set foot in one of their establishments again and I hope they are given the same treatment they have given us everywhere in the world, so maybe they will realize but I doubt that they are people who have ever set foot outside their own home. Terrible experience!

Love a Premier Inn stay. Great value stay. Only thing marring this one was just a bit lax on the normal cleanliness. There was toilet paper still in the toilet bowl when I arrived and bedside tables had not been dusted for a while other than tops. Otherwise all good. Very good location for attending an event at the nearby McEwan Hall at the University of Edinburgh and minutes from Grassmarket. Staff were lovely and very friendly.

Stay was for a business trip. Standard Premier Inn from rooms perspective, comfortable & just what you need. The Team are lovely here, very accommodating & nothing is too much trouble. There were a couple of big groups staying but the team made sure everyone was aware so you could avoid busy times for breakfast & dinner. I will choose to stay here again the next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and couldn't have had a better stay. Excellent service straight from check in. Friendly staff, quick service and were always happy to help. Room was clean and tidy, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and scrambbled eggs upon request were greatly appreciated. Location was perfect for our needs and the short walk for car parking wasn't an issue. Special thanks goes to Lucas who served us at check in and at breakfast every morning. Very pleasant and helpful. Would be my first hotel to check for availability next time I visit Edinburgh

A short walk (10 minutes) from Haymarket station this hotel has everything you expect from an established chain including friendly staff, all you can eat breakfast with vegan options and satisfying rooms in a convenient location at a competitive price. You struggle to go wrong with a Premier Inn if these factors are the basis for where you choose to stay. This hotel is easily accessible from Edinburgh Waverley and is two minutes from a fantastic view of Edinburgh Castle. With tram stops local onward travel to Edinburgh airport is simple and practical and the hotel is close to many of the city's bars and independent music venues in the West End.
