Just want to say thank you to today's store manager Leah. Great customer service that was very much appreciated as I was fairly annoyed at the time!

Took clothes purchased from another sports direct to be exchanged at Mcaurther Glen, was told I can't exchange them there and need to go to the original store I purchased them from. The woman serving behind the tills really needs more training (and manors) as its stated in their website (just like every other shop) you can return them to any store. Even though this is my local store I will not be returning. Very poor service and knowledge.

Unbelievable. Bought two water bottles next to the till which both had stickers saying ‘mix & match £10 each or two for £16’. They were next to each other on the shelf. I bought two and paid but noticed literally just after I paid that I was charged £20 (so didn’t have the mix and match discount).The cashier apologised for this and called the manager who went on to explain to me that the bottles had to be the same bottles for the discount.I challenge this as what is the point of ‘mix & match’ if they had to be the same (ie a match and no mix). The manager said they had a different colour top forThe bottles but had none in stock and that would be the ‘mix’.I said to the manager that surely as the manager he thinks this is misleading to have the bottles next to each other with the mix & match stickers on but not being able to mix and match them. He didn’t agree with me and simply offered me a refund but by that time my 10 year old daughter was holding both bottles in her hand so I wasn’t going to take one away from her.I asked for a copy of the complaints procedure and was told to go online for it. Seriously Sports Direct, this is how you treat people!!?I then said to the manager that surly as soon as I leave he will separate the bottles and put one on a different shelf so this doesn’t happen to anyone else and he said that he sees my point but also sees his point and is happy with the bottles where they are.Lost for words with the customer service and sure trading standards would agree with me which I also told the manager.

Mediocre service on the sales floor, poor at the till. Dread to think how they cope when busy.

Visited to buy hand luggage bags ready for our trip to Spain in April. There were plenty of sale offers throughout the shop for all types of shoes and sports clothing. I found a travel bag reduced from £27.99 to £9.99 what a bargain. Well worth a visit.

Avoid this shop at any cost! Unfortunately I can not give 0 star to this shop, the lowest review is 1 star.The counter staff's manner is very unhelpful, refuse to exchange a pair of nike trainers I bought only 6 days ago, which have a problem with the sole. They give me few different reasons, but none of them make sense. I also spoke with the store manager, and I was told the same answer that they refuse to exchange. They believe it is not a manufacture fault, but the trainers are designed like this. They also suggested me call their helpline to seek advice. And the helpline said, because this is not an online order, I need seek help from the local store.This shop will find 101 reasons to refuse exchange or refund, even you brought a malfunction item within 1 week.AVOID this shop, totaly rubbish!

Excellent bought a pair of trainers 70 % reduced. Looked elsewhere and they are full price so this was a great bargain

Following a poor experience at Leckwith store, this store staff were informative and helpful. I purchased exactly what I wanted.

Well stocked and the shop is well presented. A few stores I have previously been in and I am being polite in saying they were in disarray!. clothes on the floor, garments everywhere however this store has been well managed. My only complaint from today's visit was a young member of staff shouting across the store about her vulgarities over the weekend. I am no snob but the vile mouthed girl had no respect for customers and I had my daughter with me so I left I didn't want her hearing what was said. Appalling behavioural from a 20something girl. I never had any issues previously

I seem to always be unlucky to find anyone when I need assistance at this store. Might be that it's poorly staffed when not during peak hours. The prices here are standard as you'd expect from sports direct and you won't find any further discount just because it's located in an outlet village. Standard sport direct nothing more nothing less.
