Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for a weekend break and as part of our adventure, to begin exploring the Cotswolds. We were not particularly satisfied with our stay here, having stayed in the Robin" room

Room was nice enough and staff were polite enough. Breakfast was a stand out part of the stay, 10/10! Great central location.

Popped in for sunday roast. Lovely food for a reasonable price. Excellent value for Burford

We’ve stayed here previously which makes this stay particularly disappointing.I refer to room “Finch” for this stay, and to list:Really tiny roomVery tired furnishingsNo dressing table or mirror (my wife was appalled by this in particular)Shower like a caravanToilet dirty on arrival (and smelled really badly, also would not flush effectively)Sash window inoperable (cords long gone) I propped this up with an item of furniture. In conclusion: just don’t, we love Burford but this establishment really lets its customers down.Oh and by the way the room cost £110Frankly I’d rather sleep in the car.You have been warned. For the proprietor of the pub, if you’d like to challenge any element of my review I’d be glad to chat.

Booked by family, this place was fabulous. My room was beautiful with a shower in the en suite and a Victorian bath in the room!

Stopped in the Robin room. Steep stairs but that's part of the charm of an old building. Comfy bed, rainforest shower head. Lovely old building nicely renovated. Had tea/coffee/biscuits/water on arrival. Sealed soap and small bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and moisturiser. Really thoughtful and wasn't expected for the price. WiFi wasn't great, rooms closer to the pub may have been better. Got a lovely full breakfast in the morning to. Pub closed a little early so all was quiet and very peaceful. Great night sleep. Can't say a busy weekend would be the same but I couldn't fault. Thank you.

Family and friends decided to go out for the afternoon so we went to Burford. Whilst out we stopped for drinks and nibbles. Reasonable prices service was ok a smile doesn't cost anything. The pub however was cold we all sat in jumpers and jackets on the day. Would visit again if in the area but would only do this if the sun was shining and was a bit warmer.

Very disappointing. For £140/ night I expect better. Checked in to find only one of 3 lights had lightbulbs in them, which to be fair they rectified after I raised the issue. Also notified staff the top of the toilet cystern was cracked through and showed them a photo I took. On the Sunday morning had no hot water coming through the shower even after leaving running for 10 mins. The room itself was ok, comfy bed but these other things need addressing if charging these rates.

Filthy. Shower tray had black mould round corner. Shower mat had black mould on third of it. Bathroom window had tree branches poking through opening. Needed to close it during rain. The handle came out of fixing...screws didn't bite into wood.Dirt snd dust covered an antique table lamp in corner shelf/table..it didnt appear to work. Kettle had calcium deposits down liquid level so couldn't see through. Base and underneath kettle were grimey. Tray holding crockery was stained (easily washable). Dirty spoons. Double electric plug socket near kettle was hanging off wall filled with dust.Huge bolster for hanging decoration looked unwashed. No hair dryer...available on request. It didnt arrive. Half used conditioner bottle supplied with 3 full bottles of shampoo, gel and body lotion. No soap for face. Sink plug had no chain...difficult to lift out.I complained next morning having brought the shower mat to horrified...and terrified receptionist. Her request for her supervisor or management to speak to me fell on deaf ears. She gave me wrong contact details (not her fault) to use on return home. I Googled CEO and wrote to him...they own several more hotels in the town!! Still awaiting a reply. Disgusted...so have reported them to Oxfordshire council health and safety. Wouldn't trust their kitchens if simple room cleanliness is disregarded.Avoid at all costs.

Stayed here for a wedding. I booked over a year ago, made sure they were aware that I was disabled. Spent the week before my stay emailing and calling and had no response. Finally got through to Andy 2 days before my stay. I reiterated that I was disabled and concerned about parking. He was very rude and no helpful at all. On my arrival I asked about parking to be told it’s first come first serve and have to find parking on the high street. As I was early, I knew that check in would not be possible and was told they will pop my luggage into my room. On arriving back from the wedding, my room was potentially the furthest away, and to top it off my luggage was not in my room. I then had to go downstairs (no staff) to find my bag was in a staff area. The room was dusty and the carpet had not been hoovered. The bed however was lovely and comfy.Although there was a lamp above the bed that was broken and dangling over the pillows. The woman serving breakfast was equally rude and literally knocked a whole pot of coffee all over me and was very dismissive and not at all apologetic. I asked a member of staff to speak with a manager. She promised I would receive a call which has not happened and hence why I’m now writing a review. I paid £140.00 for this room. And for them to make no effort to help with my disabilities is incredible in this day and age the negative attitude of people towards disability. Knowing I was coming a year ago i don’t understand how one parking space could not have been reserved. I have photos to show broken lamp and unhoovered carpets, if the manager would like to get in touch!
