I consulted Southwest Veins because I had pain in the veins in one leg Jamie assured me that after treatment the pain would stop. The relief was instant and when the bandages were removed the unsightly veins had disappeared.The result was so good I had the other leg treated.I have been conscious of the veins on my legs for years now they are not a problem. I am so glad I went ahead and had this procedure, I had my veins stripped twice before and they came back, im feeling much more confident that this treatment will be longer lasting. I used to feel so embarrassed about my legs and wear long dresses and trousers i so wanted to be like others in the summer enjoying the sun in shorts and dresses . The treatment was so easy and I was well informed and looked after, the nurses too checking on me throughout even holding my hand. After suffering many years of embarrassing problems with varicose veins, and being turned down for NHS treatment , I luckily found Jamie Barwell.From start to finish my experience was second to none.Truly professional but also empathetic to the personal issues surrounding these problems I highly recommend anyone to make an appointment with Jamie.The new consulting and treatment rooms are superb and the care is excellent by everyone.This procedure has changed my life and for the first time in my life I am wearing shorts and feeling confident.

I can’t recommend Southwest Veins enough..I’ve lived with my unsightly varicose veins for over 30 years. ( spaghetti leg) No more, thanks to Jamie and his amazing team. I researched a few vein treatment specialists before I chose Southwest Veins. From my initial video consultation with Jamie last October to my last visit with him 2 weeks ago, everything just went so well. The treatment itself took about 30 minutes but I could see the appearance of the veins had improved right away before the dressings were applied. And it’s just improved ever since.All the medical team are very friendly and make you feel so at home with great music to relax you whilst having your treatment .Clare on reception is lovely too, we talked about my many holidays I’d been/going on. Everything was explained throughout and the actual procedure was so quick. No discomfort, quick recovery and was able to carry on everyday activities without any problem. I saw the results of a friend's leg who saw Jamie and was amazed at the result so booked an appointment with him. For years my leg was full of bulging veins, painful and itchy, I always wore long skirts to hide them as I felt so embarrassed. From initial contact to treatment, and sending final before and after photos, Jamie was professional but friendly and done an amazing job on my awful veins. Just had vein treatment yesterday. From walking into the building, I was met with a smile and made to feel so at ease. Throughout my whole visit, the four members of staff that I encountered were so friendly, with a positive approach. Even during treatment, it felt like I was in a room of friends, especially with their lovely theatre nurse, who kept conversation going and resulting in me not even knowing that treatment was completed so quickly. A truly life changing experience, I now feel as if a weight has been lifted off my mind.Before I had the procedure on my leg, I was always very self conscious about the varicose veins on my leg, this lead me to avoiding wearing shorts in public and even at home.The procedure was unbelievably quick and easy and took no time at all for me to recover.
