Amazing what Tom has done to my Stratocaster. Replaced the ceramic pickups with a set of ironstone golds supplied by myself.. Also Tom fitted a new nut carved by Himself. Full setup and service. I can’t believe it’s the same guitar! It sounds and feels incredibly. So much easier to play now which makes all the difference when you’re a novice guitarist like me. In fact so good now I have trouble putting it down! I cannot recommend Tom highly enough…a really great guy and master of his craft.

Spoke to Tom at Fretbuzz about a cheap strat that has become dearly loved, the sound was great for the price bought but I felt it needed some revamp due to the terrible and cheap electronics inside and decided to splash out and upgrade it's innards. He kitted me out with a great tone blender mod which gives me a lot of versatility tone wise and with the new pickups I added, it breathed new life into a beloved instrument. The service was quick, decently priced and I even had updates from Tom on the progress and even shared videos so I could hear what he added. Overall I was pleased with the service and would highly recommend to anyone requiring some technical guitar services.

My electric-acoustic had developed a unique 'buzz'. Tom was able to diagnose the problem, fix it, clean the guitar, replace the strings with much higher quality ones than I already had and more in just a couple of hours. To top that all off, Tom is extremely friendly, easy to talk to, and I can guarantee you won't find anyone else nearby as knowledgeable and as kind as Tom for sorting out all your guitar needs. Thank you so much, the guitar sounds so unbelievably good right now, I'm loving it! :D

A thoroughly nice guy, very knowledgeable and great to talk to. His work is exceptional, and I can't recommend him enough. My guitar is in pristine condition (better than new) and plays like a dream after Tom gave it a proper set up and fretboard clean. I also had to get the toggle switch replaced after it stopped working, and it now works like a dream, the replacement switch is very high quality, and is a perfect match to the original. With regard to time, it didn't take anywhere near as long as I thought it would (4 days), the price was extremely good considering the work that was done and it was nice when picking my guitar up to see photos before, during and after the work with a full explanation into the issues. Tom also included some additional Fretbuzz case candy which was a really nice touch. Thank you Tom for all of your hard work, and I'm looking forward to seeing you again with some of my other guitars.

After a nasty fall I took my gibson to Fretbuzz.Tom was very knowledgeable give some expert advice. I was more than happy with the repair/workmanship carried out. Tom also set up my Gibson perfectly.After 31 years playing acoustic I'm now ready to fall in love with my gibson thanks to Tom.I fully recommend Fretbuzz.

Tom is a genuine wizard who managed to repair a switch on the tuner/preamp of my Luna Passionflower acoustic guitar, saving me a very expensive full replacement of the unit. He also did a full service and replaced the chipped nut with a bespoke bone nut. My guitar's tone has improved markedly and it has never played so well. He turned the job around really quickly. Excellent service, value, and a lovely friendly chat whilst I was there.

I’ve been going to Tom since around June/July 2022, I’ve taken my Strat and Tele there, he really is a master of his work! I have never not been satisfied, the price is exceptional and he always goes above and beyond every single time! Any request you have he always does! I highly, highly recommend.

Big thanks to Tom after his resurrection/restoration of my 1976 CBS Fender Telecaster after it had been butchered by a supposedly reputable chain of Guitar Workshops. After sorting out the neck, the nut, the wiring, the pickups and a full setup it once more both plays and sounds as it should, and all completed within a week, despite him having plenty of other work! Tom has also done a couple of other relatively straight forward setups for me in the last month and again the guitars came back as good, if not better than when they went in. So if you're looking for Tech who knows what they're doing and who will treat your guitar as if it was his own, can't recommend Fretbuzz highly enough.

Tom is a highly skilled luthier and easy communicator, who will not only sort out your guitar but set it up to suit your playing style. A talented and experienced musician in his own right, he can find a depth and range of sounds that bring out the very best from your instrument. Mine now has a richness of tone and ease of playability that I never thought possible.
