Absolutely worst burger I've tasted for a long time . Came in Monday lunchtime with my son only about 6 people in there and was served by the most miserable bar maid of all time . Waiting 25 minutes for 2 meals and they actually got my order wrong. Shall not bother again will stick to Hem Heath/ New Florence and weathervane from now on . Awful.

Came for food on a Sunday afternoon. Steak was edible, nothing special. Wife had a Sunday dinner and left most of it. Chicken was dry, veg were not far off being a paste they were that overcooked. Paid £1 for an extra Yorkshire pudding and looked like it was a frozen one from a corner shop.Service was awful, mains were put down and plates from starters left, had to stand for 5 minutes to order as nobody at the bar. Turns out the person cooking wasn't even a chef but they had nobody else. Also the main took nearly an hour to come out.Won't be coming back anytime soon, shame as it used to be nice there

Really good food, and good vibes! I had the veggie burger - perhaps the best vegetarian burger I've ever eaten. Really good! Would recommend this pub to anyone!

Had a fantastic night out at The Gables last night. Friday night get together with close friends and family had a lovely meal, kids very well catered for and Kelly the bar maid was lovely. Welcomed us straight away with a friendly smile having remembered us from the open Mike night the previous day, saw that we had a baby in the group so brought over a high chair. Turned into a night of singing and dancing with a karaoke on the go. All the staff wonderful and joined in with all the fun even hugged us when we left. Pub full of lovely people all having a great night. This pub is working hard to come back to life please help it and support it.

Me and the missus had food here this afternoon, what can I say? Lovely stuff! I had a mixed grill which was extremely nice and my other half had a really good southern fried chicken burger which I think I'll have next time as it looked tasty!I'm so glad this place finally has a manager who knows what she's doing, hoping she stays on for a good long time to come!

Great food friendly staff. Stopped for breakfast here with my brother after our morning run and the chef Kelly cooked the perfect breakfast for us. Will definitely eat here again, great food and good prices.

Delicious Fish. Excellent value. Well priced and beautifully cooked. New manager Oct23 . Very friendly. Toilets were spotless. Good range of daily specials. Open all day. We went very early evening. Easy free parking big enough for my pickup truck. Pool table.

Visited today, the service and atmosphere was to excellent standard. I myself had the cowboy burger, it was so delicious, something I’d definitely recommend and will be having upon my return. Please give my compliments to the chef.
