Our boxer girl just over a year was a nightmare to walk, pulling all over the place, distracted by everything, dogs, birds etc. She had been to puppy training back in February but think lockdown caused a number of issues. She became reactive to other dogs she didn't already know from her earlier puppy days and walking her was a nightmare and definitely not enjoyable most of the time! We started working with a trainer one on one, once a week and things were improving a little but it was hard to keep this training up everyday on the school run etc. I began googling doggy boot camps and came across adk9 and reviews looked good, left my details and was called by Alan who said he believed he could help. Poppy was booked in a couple of weeks later and it couldn't come quick enough! Had a few updates from Alan while she was there and was doing well. Collected her a week later and wow what an improvement, walking to heel not pulling! We did have a few issues later that week when back to walking on the school run, other dogs were hard to avoid and didn't think we were doing things right. Sent Alan an email and video of us and he called me making an arrangement to have my husband and I come back in for an hour and spent time with us and his colleague walking other dogs past us, giving us the right way to control her. Both my husband and I felt much more confident and we are continuing to try use the techniques we have been given, she can still be reactive to dogs but is much better to walk. Would recommend Alan if you are having issues.

Sent my dog here for a week which cost £400 I was sent videos and pictures while during her stay. I thought she was doing so well until we got her back. Took her out for a walk and she was worse more than ever! I sent Chris a message regarding this he phoned me and said it was maybe because I was a woman and have different hormones than him!!!! Our girl had also lost a lot of weight PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Look at her ribs in this picture she was 40kg going in, it breaks my heart to look at these pictures. Total waste of money no change in my dog what so ever

Our 11-month old Romanian rescue was an absolute nightmare to walk as she would not only pull on the lead, she was easily distracted and was very reactive towards other people. A two-week intesive training course with Alan and it is like having a completely different dog back! She has become a pleasure to walk. There is no longer any pulling or distractions while on the lead. She is now even keen on having strangers pet her. I genuinely did not think we would ever get to this point! Alan keeps you updated throughout the process, which makes you feel at ease about leaving your beloved fur baby away for two weeks. Additionally, during the handover, Alan takes you through everything required to ensure that the beahviour the dog has learnt during their stay with Alan remains once they are back home. He is also around to contact after the training should any more information or advice be required. I cannot thank Alan enough for the wonders he has worked and would highly reccomend ADK9 training in Scotland to anyone who wants to enjoy their dog rather than enduring and getting frustrated with the dog's behaviour. I have definitely now got a dog that I am excited to go on walks with.

Took my 4 month doberman pup in for dog socialising and pulling on lead.. Paid £400 WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! He came back still pulling and even worse round other dogs.. He also had a respiratory infection and lump on face.. Took him to the vet which cost another £100 and when I phoned ADK9 they were so matter of fact and no sympathy at all.. My dog had also lost weight. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Myself and family were struggling working as a team to train our dog and alot of what he had learnt became undone when I firstly became unwell and lost alot of strength in my right hand side and then again when we couldn't use his outdoor time as a fun way to learn due to covid 19. I dropped Copper off with Alan and at once felt at ease. He spoke about how own dogs, told me his methods of training and explained he was going to treat Copper as his own. He regularly updated us, we even got videos and pictures of how our boy was doing and when we went to collect him, the difference was outstanding. I won't lie and say he was balancing a ball on his nose, but my boy who would yank me off my feet and only listen if I had a treat wanted to walk with me, was open to listening and even when he became focused he didn't want to attack me if I tried to break that concentration - he just followed my lead. When picking him up and Alan offering advice and walking us through his style it was like night and day. He usually locks on to our toddler and won't stop licking him but today after being told to sit he done exactly that and then got to greet him. I feel very confident now in training Copper using the resources and ground work Alan put in and would not hesitate to ask him for help or to use his services for any other dogs. Already recommended him to a few people. Thank you Alan for giving me the ability to walk my dog again.

My 12 month old Belgian Malinois was very reactive on lead, lunging and barking at anything and everything, covid lockdowns meant she didn’t get out to do all the things a puppy needs to be doing. After a while things got to the point where I was struggling to walk her and was finding myself out at 5 in the morning and 11 at night to avoid people/dogs/kids/cars which prompted me to contact Alan.Alan got back to me within a day and we had a lengthy conversation before arranging a day to meet each other.Meeting Alan and Chris at the kennels was great, immediately I was put at ease by their professionalism and confidence as well as the quality of the kennels and their surroundings. I made a booking for a week right after.During the week Chris stayed in touch with updates on my dogs progress which was reassuring and on collection they spent time with me explaining what they’d done and how they’d done it.I can honestly say that a week with Alan and Chris changed my dogs life for the better. She came home much calmer and happier and is now getting out and about being a dog, meeting people, getting on pack walks with other dogs and running around off lead. She’s even calmer with my other, older dogs at home. There’s nothing I could’ve spent money on which would’ve had the same value and impact on my dogs well-being than a week with Alan and Chris.
