Solent University

This institution like many others across the UK will force international students to pay ludicrous amounts of fees but will still treat them horribly. Offering no support and poor communication

The University has garnered numerous accolades and boasts state-of-the-art facilities, rendering it highly appealing to both domestic and international students. The quality of instruction is of a high standard, ensuring that every student receive adequate attention and support, which is reflected in the smaller class sizes. I wholeheartedly endorse this university without reservation.

I did a masters there and it was okay but it could improve on providing channels for students to meet employers. When I left uni I struggled to find a job in my field so I just chose a different field just so I can start bringing money in. I think if uni provided some work experience or channels to meet future employers, that would definitely help.

Great University, clean facilities, new and modern technology used, brilliant course leaders and events.

I'm a Srilankan completed Global MBA through Solent University ,I must thankful to the university for the level of education provided with so many learning online opportunities and access to online libraries,Also very recently I have contacted student hub for an urgent requirement which directly impact for my future and they have responded me very quickly and I must thank to Mr.Dave Beeson (Student Advisor) for his quick response.I highly recommend this university and it's service levels to everyone.Dhanushka FonsekaSrilankan

Visited for an open day. A short walk from the centre of Southampton. Everybody was really friendly & helpful. Had a free ice cream as we left

Completed my Master's course from Solent and have taken an active role in most of the University events.I hope I was aware of the course prospects which had proved to be off no help for any job role. But they have a satisfactory support system like access support, international student support, mental health and career guidance for future jobs. Wanted to resister for my PhD but never got any proper information after waking into that resource centre. After my experience here, I would say some of the University departments are not supportive and bit send you to someone else and do not want to be of any support.

I am a Solent University graduate and this is my honest comment. If you really want a route to a successful career after graduation DO NOT PICK this uni. This university has no connection with the industry whatsoever although they bang on how they know the industry and prepare you to get a job.

Lectures and seminars cancelled seemingly at random without any notice to the students who are paying thousands to be there. Lecturers will happily lie and make offensive statements to you . Made an official complaint but it was never acted on and was continually gaslighted. No help for those with mental health issues. Just spend the extra couple of hundred pounds and go somewhere that's actually worth being in dept for.

This is, without a doubt, one of the worst places in this city. I absolutely despise this facility.It will take me ages to describe everything that is wrong with this worthless place. It has ruined my life and it took me almost a decade to get back on my feet after the devastating blow I have experienced. The audacity to charge extortionate amount of money for such a low quality experience baffles me.This has made me lose hope in higher education. It made me realise that the universities no longer have the purpose they used to. I feel humiliated and disgusted.Never attend this place. Get apprenticeships or qualification courses instead. These are way more useful than this hole.
