Hair by Charmaine

I have been going to Charmaine for years and I can honestly say she is one of the very few people I would trust with my hair! She goes over and beyond to accommodate her clients needs , sometimes working crazy times to ensure we are all covered! The atmosphere and over all experience of being in Charmaines is always 10/10 and I always leave feeling like I have my confidence back! Xxx

I’ve been going to hair by Charmaine for over 8 years, Charmaine has always been amazing at doing my hair I’ve had lots of sets of extensions and she does my blowdrys for every night out I have , she has always fitted me in when I’m last minute ! she works late to fit me in after my work as I work 12 hour shifts , if you are needing a hair up Charmaine is your gal she has done many of pony’s for me and I get compliments every time one thing I tell Charmaine is you can’t please everyone in the world but the people you do appreciate you so much and are thankful for their hair ❤️

Had an appointment on Friday morning for a blow dry yet when I arrived at the salon at my appointment no one was there , the shutters were down . It is now Monday and I have still not received a call or message to explain the reasons for this it is an absolute disgrace to treat customers this way . Charging deposits but not even showing up for appointments or having the decency to let folk know if there is a problem. Even worse cashing in by charging deposits! It’s not the first time I have had a bad experience with this salon but is disgraceful she continues to charge folk money and not even show up or have any contact to explain why . The booking system you use are even worse as they are allowing bookings to be made for a salon that does not appear to be in operation

Charmaine has done my hair throughout the years and always delivers such a high quality end result for my hair.

Disgusting service ! Would never recommend to book here! I booked Charmaine for a blow dry for my engagement party a week in advance of the date. On the day of the party , she moved my appointment by email without asking me if it suits, I then turned up to my new appointment time after re arranging the day around her and her shop was closed. I messaged and called multiple times where she didn’t answer but then messaged me to say that her mums been rushed to hospital and she’s on the way. I also noticed from our message history that she had used this excuse before in which case she was blatantly lying. I’ve heard that she is notorious for cancelling on people because she just can’t be bothered working. It’s absolutely disgusting and I’m not surprised that she has no work ethic. If you don’t want to be let down then I would suggest never to book with charmaine. She is also known to go out on the weekends and then unable to attend appointments due to being hungover and doesn’t care about clients.

Charmaine was nothing short of amazing!! She listened carefully to what I wanted with my hair colour, and did exactly what I would have wished! I was anxious before coming to get it dyed as not had good experiences with getting my hair dyed previously, but she made me feel super chilled and had full trust in her!! I will be back soon for my colour to be redone! Thanks Charmaine! ❤️
