PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU REVIEW!!Speaking on behalf of the company:we have been given numerous bad reviews about deliveries and customer service.. We do not sell glue, we do not sell power tools etc that many people have commented about. This is a different building supplies direct!!! Please check you are posting your review on the correct site as this is really affecting our ratings on google - we can ensure that 99 percent of the reviews are not this company - we don't sell tools and many other items that have been commented about. We also do our very best to give fantastic customer service, out of all bad reviews we believe only one to be relevant to this company. Whilst having a tonne bag of topsoil delivered by this company they hit my gatepost several times to and fro with the tonne bag, which was very secure before they came. The delivery guy said it was rotten, that was not the case. Still 4 weeks on Dave hasn't arrived, not answering my texts and calls, nor replaced my broken post. Not only this he said there top soil is grade 1, I month later I'm still picking out shards of glass, and bits of stone, bits of gravel, you name it. I'm sick with this topsoil, so sorry I ever used this company. AVOID.

Terrible! They say they have stock when you place your order - they don't but they will not tell you this. They will NOT inform you and will send what they can scrape up. In my case they could not supply the crucial items I needed but did send the superfluous at full shipping cost. I was refunded for the items they did not have but you need to monitor your payment account to find this out - no email, no phone call, no response when you query this practice.

Excellent service!! Don't read the bad reviews from some on here, it's a totally different company called building supplies online. I had 3 tons of sand delivered to Preston and 15 bags of cement delivered within a week which is good considering what's going on at the moment. The chap who delivered the materials was very pleasant and extremely helpful going out of his way to drop the materials off in the best possible spot to make life easier, down a tricky side path. Would definitely use again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First class service from start to finish. Dave the owner is very friendly and helpful and his prices are lower than any other builders merchants in the area. Delivery was flawless and offloaded onto my drive with pinpoint accuracy in a matter of minutes by a friendly and courteous driver.

Good all round service

Avoid this company. Bought £300 wort of tools and was messed about by both the courier and Building Supplies Direct. The customer service and communication is non existence. My goods were ment to be delivered Thursday and failed. Never showed up friday dispite waiting in all day. Asked seller for delivery monday and ignored. Paypal case opened. Goods returned to sender today (tursday) and still waiting for a refund dispite the seller replying to the PayPal case say. I have now escalated PayPal case. As a result ive lost out on work and money. Never use the cheapest supplier and check the reveiws first. You pay for what you get !

D&S BROWN LTD.Please ignore the negative reviews regarding no delivery or bad customer service. We are a family run business from Cockerham, Lancaster. The Building Supplies Direct that people are reviewing 1 STAR is not our company, it's an online company that offer goods such as power tools and paint etc for nationwide delivery. Our company only offer local delivery by our hiyab crane or van. Throughout lockdown we got numerous amounts of calls from customers thinking that the online Building Supplies Direct was us. Please make sure that before reviewing you 100% have the correct company before submitting as this really affects a great company that has been providing our local surrounding areas with great service for over 10 years!!!

3 times now I've ordered bulk bags of sand and hardcore in 2 mins flat with paypal online, next day or day after it's on my drive also they have a better truck/driver than wickes, they dont start crying if you want it more than 2 foot from the pavement, best of all it's free delivery
