Russell Court Hotel
Very much cheap and cheerful.Sound of running water all night but couldn't find the sourceParking turned out to be a nightmare as the car park around the hotel is public pay as you display so was absolutely useless to us.No coffee or tea in the room .Bathroom basin tap hardly came on , just a slight trickle .The price was very reasonable but to be honest I still expected slightly more .And then to cap everything off , in the morning I had to get a taxi back to my car as the hotels car park , which is public was rammed the night before. The hotel then tried to charge me £2.50 for watching my caseNot happy with that at all

I recently stayed at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the room. I paid a fairly low price considering the location to the seafront and main tourist part of Bournemouth. All in all a nice peaceful 3 night stay, room was clean and everything worked OK.. thank you R C H.

The Russell Court Hotel,Well where do I start. It all started when myself and two colleagues were traveling along the South Coast to enjoy the delicacies it had to offer.I made a reservation costing £70 for the night which I was content with, but shortly after rang a rude employee who I assume is the overall manager of the hotel (shelter at best) who we referred to as Mr Chargable, which will come apparent as to why shortly. The shelter had sufficient parking for a Boeing 747 which was a great start but because of the gradient of the car park, the following advisories must be adhered to...Hill walking boots, above average fitness with no niggles and a recent MOT - ensuring your handbrake is fully functional. For that pleasure (as a paying customer off the hotel) the car park will cost you an additional £18 to stay in.On stumbling through the doors full of cramp and dehydrated from the hike up the car park, the scene before me was like stepping into the rocky horror picture show film set. There sat Mr Chargable, ready to pounce on my every question, first one being is the room empty and ready to occupy? His reply was yes.My next question was, I know we we are an hour early, but can we please move our bags in now?He said yes but that will be a £20 charge! So we kindly declined and came back 50 mins later and he allowed us the keys 5 minutes early (generous). After remind us that smoking or or vaping in the room was a £100 chargeable fee (not that I'd do this anyway), I left Mr chargable for the room. The route to the room was either via stairs and corridors that made you feel like you had your drinks spiked or an elevator that could feature in the new SAW film. After arriving at the door to my assigned room, I swiftly opened it only to be met with a smell that can only be described as one similar to the inside of an ashtray.I could have smoked 20 cigarettes, burnt my old receipts and letters, and Mr chargeable still wouldn't have known past its original stench!I walked throught the musky air towards the window at the far end of the room to open it but to my surprise it was open! The letter box size air vent was my only supply of clean oxygen. The WC facilities were terrible, the shower had more sea life then the footings of bournmouth pier, additionally my towl wasn't large enough to dry a barbie! That was it ! I had to leave, running towards the door fearing I'd shortly run out of oxygen, I tripped on what I could only describe as a Guinness World Record entry of a toenail!I left the hotel never to return, only to talk about the expirence as if it was a story like the grate escape and I had survived the tragic experience of the Russell Court Hotel!I could go on but I think I have built the picture for you and I only have the option of characters 54 left.So please deter yourselves from staying here you may not be as lucky as me.

My stay at the Russel Court Hotel in Bournemouth was nothing short of a nightmare. I cannot express how disappointed I am with the overall experience. Let me break down the numerous issues that made this hotel a dreadful choice.First and foremost, the rooms were outrageously overpriced for what they offered. The amenities were minimal, and the quality of the rooms did not justify the exorbitant rates charged. It felt like I was paying for a luxurious experience, but in reality, I received nothing more than a subpar accommodation. To add insult to injury, they dared to charge an additional £12 for the car park. This should have been included in the room price, considering how much they already milked from their guests. The lift to the rooms was a terrifying experience in itself. It was so tiny and dilapidated that I genuinely feared for my safety every time I used it. The creaking noises and shaky movements left me with the constant feeling that the lift might drop at any moment.Upon entering the room, the lack of basic toiletries like shampoo and body wash was glaringly apparent. It's ludicrous to expect guests to bring their toiletries or go out and purchase them separately during their stay. This is simply unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that claims to offer a satisfactory experience.Furthermore, the window in my room was broken and couldn't be closed properly. The incessant noise from the fast cars on the roads outside made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. It felt like I was trying to rest in the middle of a race track. The final straw that broke the camel's back was the abysmal behavior of the morning reception staff. They were outright rude and unprofessional, showing no regard for the guests' comfort or satisfaction. In summary, my stay at the Russel Court Hotel was a complete disaster. The rooms were subpar and overpriced, the additional parking charge was a rip-off, the lift was a safety hazard, the lack of basic toiletries was unacceptable, and the broken window coupled with the noise from the roads ruined any chance of relaxation. To top it all off, the morning reception staff's rudeness left a lasting negative impression.I urge everyone considering this hotel to steer clear and find better accommodations elsewhere. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences of my life, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. Save yourself the trouble and disappointment and choose a different hotel for your stay in Bournemouth

The room is dirty and smells bad, and there is no shower gel or shampoo. The toilet was broken as well, we needed to make sure how we set down not to move it. And the reception staff was incredibly disrespectful via the phone.

I found this hotel exceptionally good for the price paid, wasn't expecting a 4 or 5 star hotel as through work traveling the country I have to have a stay over and just require a bed for the night. The staff I found very nice and helpful and the room very clean so will be staying there again when in Bournemouth..

The room.was clean, a bit small but for the money it is fair. If you want food you can and breakfast, all very resonably.priced. Staff are friendly and helpful and it is right on the sea front. So it is very handy for the beach and town centre.

The worst hotel I ever stayed. Dirty carpet, windows, moulded and never cleaned bathroom, no lights, broken toilet and furniture. Noisy almost all the night. Avoid this terrible and disgusting place. And at final of my Bournemouth’s adventure, It was shame on me, but the owner scammed me with £50 tv deposit after which he told that it was pre-authorisation however I was paid everything in advance.

this was a very not conventional hotel. they charged me for things no person working at a hotel or similar facility would ever consider charging a guest for like basic internet connection to the guest network which came at a daily rate of £5 and could only be used on one device and a £50 private landlord style deposit" (lol) that they charged me for basically nothing that I'm not even sure I will ever get back. In hindsight

When we arrived we could visibly see one of the windows on the top floor rooms was loosely attached and almost falling off. That was the first of many things to come.Parking is extortionate £15Staff are not customer friendlyRoom was unbelievably hot even with windows open and fan onThe ceiling fan was missing a blade (faulty)Which caused it to be extremely loud almost like being in a factoryit was so loud we couldn't get a wink of sleep.Shower was impossible to adjust, either Lukewarm or scalding hotNo tea bags or coffeeMattresses were horribly uncomfortable and noisyThere are plenty of other cheap 2/3 star hotels in Bournemouth worth going for, definitely not here!
