GoBoat Birmingham

We had to cancel our go boat at very short notice and the company went above and beyond allowing us to re arrange for a later date despite it being outside terms and conditions. Thank you for your understanding.We went on our rearranged date and had a great time. Staff were really friendly and gave us an informative briefing, nothing was too much trouble. The boat was clean and really well maintained. A thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours and we will be back soon.

I had some visitors come to Birmingham and had no idea what to do with them in the city but I found out we could book a self-riding boat for at least an hour.Pros:- nice view, we took route 2 the blue route and it wasn’t too busy- it was a fun experience trying to steer the boats on our own- since it rained at different points, they offered umbrellas in a compartment in the boat- we saw someone else’s boat break down and the employees came quite quickly to rescue them and take them back to the starting point- the boat has a table in the center and so we were allowed to bring food and have a small picnicCons:- other than telling us how to move the boat we didn’t really get any other training or instructions, which may be an issue as some large boats need to pass by through bridges and we didn’t really know what was proper etiquette- weird location, kinda hard to find. On google maps, it took us to Wagamama instead (which is close by)Overall, a super fun experience and worth the money.

I booked this on a whim to do with some friends. Hired a boat for two hours and it was grand, we had quite a late start time so we were one of the final boats in. The guy helping us out (maybe his name was Chris) had a great sense of humour.The boats go v slowly, which is good because the steering takes a little getting used to. We cruised the blue route and made plenty of friends along the way.A real giggle, a fun picnic location and two hours of singing lonely island’s “I’m on a boat”. Such a fun memory!

Good experience using a boat for the the first time.Really easy and simple to use and navigate and not a bad price £85.00 for 1 hour.( Tip - get your own food and drinks before arriving and enjoy the scenery)

We had a great time and really enjoyed the ride. Chris was very helpful at getting us set up and teaching us how to steer and maneuver the boat. It was a nice way to experience the city.

A bit sceptical at first, but this was simply an excellent couple of hours well spent. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip up and down the canal. Liz was a great host, she was excellent in going through all the detail and explaining things in very simple laymans terms (she had to for us). Top tip: there's a small Sainsbury's 2 minutes away where you can stock up on your tipple and treats for the trip. Would we do it again?...hell yes!

our party of 8 Had a great couple of hours floating around Brum, the goboat was clean with all the safety features you could need, Liz dealt with our group with professionalism humour and a smile, a few hours onboard HMS Goboat is highly recommended
