Volunteer Arms Lounge Bistro
Came in for a nice quiet sunday dinner tonight but i could not hear myself for the guy playing guitar and singing if he could just turn himself down a wee bit as i was shouting at my hubby for him to hear me other than that food brilliant steak pie to die for. I would recommend the steak pie brilliant

Front of house had 1 guy, but he was managing great, apologising for any delay. Was busy at this lunch time. Food was really good and worth the money. Great time was had by myself and friend, we will be back.

First visit Def won't be the last!!. Very friendly welcome, cosy decor, excellent service and fabulous huge plate of food!!. Had the steak baguette highly recommended. Definitely well deserved 5 stars*****

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, friendly helpful staff great coffee I would definitely recommend this pub/ bistro for ether coffee, hot chocolate, tea and a cake. They do meals also unfortunately we didn't sample the food on this occasion next time I will definitely try the food.Tables are available inside and outside, the tables are bookable in advance.There is also a fully stocked bar serving beers wines and spirits. On street parking.

Volunteer Arms Lounge Bistro
This was our first visit for food and it was pretty decent.Nothing fancy but a reasonable choice and very good prices.I had the curry which filled a hole. The small scampi was fine but the small fish was just far too small and I couldn't recommend that. I expected a reduced portion but this was a couple of mouthfuls and done.The haggis and mushroom starters were very tasty and the nachos were loved by all.The desserts were all tempting and we chose the waffles with ice cream which were delicious.Overall I would say if you are looking to pop out for a bite to eat at good prices then the Voulenteer Arms Bistro is well worth a visit.

We popped in for brunch today for my daughters birthday. The breakfast I had was amazing, my daughter had the avocado bagel & loved that also. Friendly staff.Bonus- a slice if homemade cake as a birthday treat, delicious !! Will definitely be back x

Perhaps the best kept secret in Uphall. We’ve lived in the area since 2014 but have never made it in to enjoy a lunch here. Generous portions, lovingly handmade food and excellent service. We will be back.
