Great staff very helpful, good modern eye test equipment.Prices are not competitive even from luxottica’s own web site, which is the company that runs the optician’s in John Lewis. Phone number just rings out and no answer phone service.

If I could give a minus star rating I would.I had an eye test and paid for new lenses for my driving glasses.The assistant told me that it would take 2 weeks and she would mark them as urgent.I made more phone calls that I could count to follow up on my glasses but calls are never answered.I contacted the main customer service dept at least 6 times and even they couldn't get through.The area manager became involved and I was told twice my glasses would be in the shop for me to collect but they weren't.Last week I was contacted and asked to describe my glass frames as the lab who fits new lenses weren't certain they had correct pair.After 8 weeks I was advised I could now collect my glasses so went in today to collect them however when I did pick my glasses up they did not have new lenses and were in the same condition as they were 8 weeks ago.I don't have enough words to describe how appalling I have been treated.There was absolutely NO customer service or care afforded to me.I will never use the Opticians again and due to shocking customer service from the main John Lewis section I will never purchase a single item from the store.Disgraceful treatment of a customer.

Its a pleasure go attend this opticians and all the staff are very friendly. Since getting a bit older my prescription has become more and more challenging and they have persevered to provide glasses and contacts and are happy to order up replacements and try all avenues until they get the perfect outcome.

I had only had my eyes tested a year ago by a DIFFERENT optician but was very disappointed by the glasses provided. So I decided to return to John Lewis Cardiff who had previously given myself and my wife excellent service. I was not disappointed. I had an extremely comprehensive eye test from Caroline Campbell, an superb choice of frames and options for the lenses. My new glasses arrived in just over a week and I could not be more happy with my new glasses. Highly recommended !

The contact lens check and sight test was good. The customer service care was and continues to be appalling. The phone is never answered and emails are not replied to. Contact lenses which were promised within days took 3 weeks to arrive meaning I had to wear old lenses past their monthly usage time. They have changed my contact solution without telling me if there’s a change in the cost; have told me I can source my own but do not answer the phone or emails so I cannot cancel the solution. The optician area is shabby and not clean. Equipment was dusty and the carpets not vacuumed. I will be looking for a new optician.

Manners Integrity Decision Making were excellent -personal warmth charm they were so very reassuring and competent from which health decisions I have taken since have improved my quality of life. I have attended store on three occasions over 28 days and today I selected glasses from their global range attended to by store manager Mike Hiscocks - his manners attendance attention to detail -patience were very reassuring and a real pleasure as I made decisions which will improve the quality of my visual experience and overall vision . I do hope that senior management within the business take note of my comments and duly note where and when appraisals are completed -Thankyou Caroline Maxine Mike - a credit to the business and Optometrist's

I wasn’t expecting such poor service. I had to go twice to fix my expensive glasses. They couldn’t do it. In 2023 this store does not have a working phone. After trying multiple times I had to go to the store to be told that they are trying to fix the phone. Unbelievable.

Shocking service, had to email my prescription to a private address after leaving the surgery, opertator forgot to copy the data, made a special effort to collect glasses only to find they had totally messed up the lens configuration, without suitable glasses for at least 3 weeks...stay away no known delivery date as yet. Ironically you ask me to call and yet no one answers...

I've been waiting 7 years to find a pair of glasses that fit properly, I find that most glasses are a one size fits all but here they had pairs of designer glasses in various frame sizes. The process was extremely quick and simple and the girl who attended to me was very polite, had a friendly disposition. She naturally made general conversation which made me feel comfortable. The whole process of fitting, measuring and taking payment was carried out within 10-15 minutes and the glasses included lense protection etc, which meant there was no up selling. 11-09-2019

Opticians have been lovely but the customer service outside of the eye test has not been good. It is now over 3 weeks since I ordered and paid for my glasses - no word from them and they will not answer the phone.
