Where The Pancakes Are - Battersea
We came here by case and we got a nice surprise. Where were group of 3 friends in our 50's on holidays trying to have some breakfast a Saturday morning and we saw the queue in what seemed to be an inviting place to have some nice breakfast. I did not mind having a cappuccino in a high street café but one of my friends had a weakness for sweets things so we decided to get in line in the queue. We did not wait much until we got in and we got the coffees more or less quick. The pancakes and Royal breakfast took a little longer but it worth the wait. the food was delicious. The place is very clean and contemporary decorated. It has a toilet but seems to be always busy, we could not use it but I that was not very critical. Most if the public was facility with little kids, so probably this place is trendy with that public, in any case we felt very welcome and we were well served.

Even though we were served late the customer care recovery was excellent!!!!!!The Food was extremely delicious. The BBQ chicken pancakes was 100%The drinks were superb. I particularly loved the Earl Grey Gin Tonic. Not too sweet and that tea taste came through with just a good hint of the gin with a fresh burst of lemon!I’m definitely coming back to eat everything on the menu!!

The “American” was so good. Although, as a Canadian, I'd argue that was a much more Canadian-themed breakfast. I went alone; they fit me in, and the waiter kept me company. It was a great experience, despite the rain. I was so happy to find pancakes.

If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes for a table. And even when you’re sat, the orders may take up to 30 minutes to be prepared. The pancakes are indeed delicious. The portions are also very filling and the flavours are great. We went for the sweet pancakes and I got the 3-in-1 vegan, dairy free, gluten free and I couldn’t tell the difference with a normal batter. Service was good. You can pay via the app and split the bill however you want.

Tried Where the Pancakes Are while going around Battersea Power Station. We didn't have to wait for a table as there were only a few people. We tried the American pancakes and the pear pancakes. The portions were really good, the pancakes were thick and the bacon slices bigger than I thought however, without the maple syrup, the pancakes were quite dry and chewy. We also didn't feel welcome at all by the waiter we had who made it clear they didn't want to work. We had an alright experience overall.

Lovely friendly staff. Great quality food. Tasty recipes and plenty of options. Table service with the option of an app too.Drinks small for the price. Slower service (must be cooked fresh). Dense seating.I will be coming back to try more varieties for sure!

Quite possibly the worst pancakes I’ve ever had. The pancakes were awful, they were very soggy and extremely unpleasant. I don’t know if it was just our orders or the choice of pancakes, but both my friend and I left more than half of our plates. Perhaps serving the “wet” items on the side to the pancakes is a better option to avoid soggy and wet pancakes. The bottom pancake was extremely wet and drenched with the pineapple water/juice. The service was quite awful too. Dishes took a very long time to arrive, the table wasn’t cleared when we finished and one of the staff members was rude when we asked for the bill. For that price you’d expect a much better food and service. I wish I could give it a zero rating.
