Smokeys American Grill & BBQ

Came here tonight booked table for 8 pm didn't get food till 9.20 it wasn't that busy we were then told kitchen was closed so we were unable to get any dessert .....really pissed off will not be coming again

Food was really nice, portion sizes were large, we went as a large group and the staff were friendly and accommodating

Shocking, I came to have a meal with my girlfriend, as it was the only time we have had in a long time to sit down together and enjoy each there's company as we both work long hours, and we desired to come to smokeys as I have spoke about it for a while and she has never been, so we got there for 6:50 and I'm still talking about how amazing it was last and at 7:30 it's still not open and I checked everything online and they all said open, 8pm ... 8PM and stil nothing, it was a Tuesday (6pm - 10pm it opens) the day we went but we ended up we going somewhere else ... I am fuming with how little they care not talking them up again

I booked on the phone and got told all they had left for 2 people was 9pm because they were busy - I showed up an hour early and the place was dead?This has happened the last few times I've visited. The service is worse than it was years back and the food seems well below average for the price you pay.Oh and every beer you ask for always seems to have run out.This place has gone downhill

Poor overpriced under sized portions. Service was slow and unhelpful. Gents toilets were flooded with something. When I told staff they said nothing they could do. Will not be going again.

Bottom Line: It’s OK – not great and not awful eitherMy boyfriend and I went to Smokey’s recently (Tuesday evening at about 8pm). It was really quiet and there was no atmosphere. The restaurant is sparsely decorated in American memorabilia but it was dance music coming out of the jukebox.Pros – the waitress was quite nice, the food was quite quick and the fries, onion rings and coleslaw were all tasty. The bar area had quite a good range given the size and the chairs are comfortable. Parking is free outside the restaurant and it’s opposite the train station.Cons- They really needed to spend more money on this place. This is not a place you go for a nice evening out or parties etc. If you’re expecting something akin to the Hard Rock Cafés, you will be disappointed. The décor is sparse, the toilets really let this place down and to be honest, I’m not keen on places that have wipe down table cloths. The food was OK, I had nachos and it was OK except for the sour cream dip which looked un-natural – like maybe it was that fake sour cream that you get in the tex-mex aisle of a supermarket and is in a tube. For mains, my partner and I had the pulled pork. To be fair it was quite nice however; it would have been nicer if we could taste the pork through the mountains of bbq sauce it was mixed with.I’d give it 5/10. If they worked on the décor, upgraded the loos and maybe just worked on the menu a bit, I think it’d be a nice little place to go.Don't trust the reviews that says it's amazing - it's not.

Wonderful staff, very patient when it came time for lots of students to individually pay! Good food in great portions and nice decor

Great homemade food, unless stated ALL meals come with fries and 'slaw!

Booked a party of 17, and they wasn't ready at tall. They had nothing in, everything we wanted they didn't have. Budweiser, coffee, most cocktails, their special dishes, the challenge's, jack Daniels, and probably more but i just remember some. There is no point to have a meal here because most of the stuff they didn't have or was cross off the menu. The only reason i even tried this place is for the massive hot dog and they didn't even have that. Waste of time going!!!!!

Warm beer, fries fried on same oil for months, place is dusty hot and sticky. Overpriced and very disappointing.... Also lication is poor. Not recommended at all.
