The Red House Antique Centre
This is the only place in York where you will find genuine antiques and other items of interest here. Most are reasonably priced and affordable.The cafe upstairs is worth a visit too but a little expensive unless you just require a coffee & a sit down.A place of quite relaxing atmosphere here too wonderfully arranged cabinets to browse and enjoy.. The staff are very friendly and helpful should you wish to look at a item.. Unfortunately these places carry only a small percentage off the items you may want and this is frustrating for the customer who may want to buy & where the dealers don't allow them to be reduced to the customers advantage.

There's a lot of vintage items at some reasonable prices.The whole shop has been scaled down by adding a café on the first floor. Don't think it was necessary and it spoils the ambience, making it feel cheap.

Very busy, a tourist must see, genuine antiques, lots to look at and very helpful staff, I bought some jewellery at a very reasonable price

Over 2 floors with 1st floor offering more space to the cafe than to antiques , it appears this place is going to the dogs sadly and is no longer a must visit antique market place.Despite the advert for an extensive range of furniture it’s non existent so don’t believe what the advert says.Really not worth visiting unless you want to buy a few old coins or a picture.
