Tesco Express

Do not come here to buy anything more than a bag's worth of groceries. They closed down all the non-self-service tills except for the one employee at the customer service desk, and the self service tills are very much not meant for anything more than a meal deal. The layout of the new self service machines is also nonsense, making the one poor guy managing the self service have to double as traffic warden. Staff is doing as well as they can dealing with management's brain-dead decisions, but this is very much not a pleasant place to shop at. Go to Whole Foods or Waitrose down the street instead, or the big Sainsbury's in Sheen.

A very unpleasant experience. The cashier was rude for no reason. Didn't catch her name; I was too busy reeling from the unnecessary rudeness. They've blocked one exit and put up up a bunch of barriers so you feel completely trapped and have to seek your way out. I wonder if this is even legal.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE if anything just go and buy it from the store but don’t do whoosh delivery worst service ever. Honestly I ordered £50 worth of products & it never arrived they cancelled the order after an hour 0 communication to me as a customer and I’m here hungry and now having to spend ANOTHER £50 and wait 3 more days Just so I can go eat lunch what the hell

Back when this was a metro, it was quite a nice shop, but recently it has been downgraded to the express standard, which means this tesco has gone downhill.Aisle numbers are gone, so you have to look up and down if you're not familliar, and prices have gone up, but that's not the worst.The worst was when I got to the self checkouts, I was carring cash with me at the time, and I had noticed that they had blocked off the coin slots. A staff member noticed me and said ALL THESE SELF CHECKOUTS ARE CARD ONLY

I use Tesco all the time and always have. The store is nice enough and stocks a good selection. There is only one till open and the self check out. They always have half of the check outs not working. The queues are horrendous because of this. I've asked the staff why they can't turn on more of the self check outs. But they can't or won't do it. Literally between 6-8 self checkouts turned off while people wait for ages to get to the few ones that are working

Good selection of grocery basics and beyond. Checkout kiosks are poorly designed, and staff seems indifferent forward anything except loss prevention. But they have the groceries you need, probably.

Absolutely disgusting cashier JACKIE. My sister picked up two beers, we were served by Jackie (awful rude person) My sister was paying so showed her ID however as I was standing there she asked me for my ID, annoyingly I had just lost my wallet so I had no cards or ID but had a photo of my passport.I am 34 years old and my sister is 30, this should suffice. As my sister was purchasing two single beers I left the store, she then went to the self check out however the tyrant cashier got up and shouted across to prevent anyone serving my sister. This is shocking and we have never been treated like this ever, we feel discriminated . I am going to take this further, this is unacceptable!! GET RID OF JACKIE

HOSTILE UNFRIENDLY STORE:You get horribly stared at minute you enter this store by security and staff no smiles or greeting judging your appearance and ethnicity then they follow you around the store whilst they pretend to be organising shelves like they thinking that you are going to steal when you are not.I witnessed staff ganging up running around to watch a customer who was only shopping not stealing.They abuse customers who have disabilities like hearing aids talking to them dismissively and laughing at them in their Asian language.Nice to have your own language but with their poor English language skills and them constantly speaking in their own language infront of customers customers may well not understand them and customers may feel confused angry and distant from staff.STOLEN GOODSI work across the road and have noticed over years their security and staff seizing stolen goods belonging to other stores like mine from shoplifters and keeping these nicked stuff but not returning these seized stolen stuff back other stores where they were nicked from.Is that not theft too by security?SELF SCAN TILLSNow this Tesco have made the store all self scan tills making store feel more colder.Most of us suffer such ill treatment because Tesco is nearest large store with some value priced goods and Club card otherwise we’ll go elsewhere.SERVICEStaff customer service is generally unapologetically dire rude and unprofessional.One night I witnessed a male customer beign threatened by a female staff who was staring quite clearly and angrily loudly to this male that she will respond in no uncertain terms if he dared to stop her witnessed by other staff .There are though one or two staff including two female staff who have excellent customer service skills.Google reviews system can only permit you to add a review if you rate stars with your reviews so I am forced to attach single star to this review when I really do not want to add a single star.
