Ocado Technology is growing fast due to its success in creating, and now selling around the world, major innovations in retail fulfilment. From eCommerce and supply chain and logistics, to 1 hour slot delivery to customers, to innovative new fulfilment centres utilising dense storage hives and robotics, it is years ahead of any competitors. This is because it is a truly agile company, from the way the teams run themselves all the way up to the top of management. Everywhere you look there are interesting problems to solve and the right culture to solve then. This particular campus is filled with facilities for its staff, reflecting the strong voice the staff have in the business.

Great place to work. Very vibrant and modern working environment, where management let the techies get on with it.

I had an interview in the 1st of February 2018 with Ocado Technology. I was traveling from Leicester and the tickets were pretty expensive, so I kindly requested to cover the travel expenses if possible. They told me that they can cover up to 150 pounds and the tickets were 115, so everything was great for now. I visited Hatfield for the interview, it was an assessment day, so I should stay there all day. During the lunch they offered us (I was with another candidate) a lunch and they said us to wait and relax for an hour. We were waiting for more than two hours and we thought that was completely unprofessional for a company like this, they did not even notice us about what is going on. I requested for updates in reception desk, but they just said we should wait there. After a few hours they get back to us and apologise, because they had many interviews and they didn’t have organise their slots for anybody. Unfortunately, we finished late the interview and I should pay for another ticket because of that. Finally I paid 175 pounds for this interview and they did not cover even 150 as they promised, even 1 pound actually. I do not know why they performed like this, I believe this is completely unprofessional and they are unable even to give a response to my recruiter two months later.

Good tech company with great mission. I’m a excited with their re-investments into tech part of the business and desire to become world leading food e-commerce platform. They have great potential.

logic tests for a 15 years experience Engineer and don't even ask about your experience on that? Are you kidding me?How a sudoku is going to help my real life coding in java or any other language? Psst, Ocado, you are not Microsoft and guess what... Microsoft stopped doing those things 20 years ago as they were pointless.My tip for engineers, look somewhere else, there are amazing companies with good culture where you don't have to be a sudoku freak, just love the tech you are involved in and show that passion.

Great place to work, lots of opportunities and freedom. Interesting range of products and technologies to work on. The people and culture at Ocado is one of my favourite things about this company.

Very good company to work for.People love their job and are genuinely so engaged.Loads of opportunities to learn and progress in a safe environment/no blame culture.Amazing tech stack. In my department: Java micro services with FP, modern React FE stack with SSR. And very good gitlab CI/CD (code and deploy on prod on the same day if not the same hour).Good salaries, benefits, share price are going through the roof and it is far from being over.But the best part is: The people. Everyone is very friendly, smart and supportive. What an amazing culture!
