Rude staff and especially the women working on TU this evening, 3 of them stood around bad mouthing a customer in front of other customers, what a disgrace. 1 checkout open despite a queue of 4 trolleys, untidy, unfriendly and not a great shopping experience.

Was just a quick shop today, and it was easy to move around the store. However, one staff member was extremely rude and told us to hurry up as it was almost 4 pm. However, no tannoys went off to state it was close to closing time!!

Needed to fill up for my return journey home and be able to relax at the apartment I was staying at for a couple of nights. Best value fuel around plus nectar points. WOW, a win win for me.

What a Great Sainsbury's store and Petrol station clean, spacious and so many products, fully stocked, as we are on holiday lots of yellow labels to help keep our costs dowe. Staff happy, helpful. It's a shame they are not all like this.

Very good range of products. Had everything I needed at a reasonable price. Also has an Argos attached which is useful but I did not need this time. The staff are also very helpful. When I got tonthe checkout I realised I had leftvmybwallet at home (thankfully only a 5 minute walk). The assistant on the self service till, Bea, put my shopping to one side and when I returned gave me a receipt that meant I didn't have to scan the shopping again. Top marks to Bea.

Cafe is pretty bad. Long queue. Not serving stuff on the menu (like filter coffee), everything a bit grubby - cutlery, trays, tables..... They do have plug sockets you can use though.

Regular shopper here. Massive car park. Great ranges of food items. TU clothing selection is big. Argos is a bonus. Cafe on site.Nobody likes food shopping surely but the experience of doing an essential task is at least decent here.

Always good quality, perhaps not the cheapest but certainly good.I do like a nice butter chicken curry and out of all the supermarkets curries I have tried Sainsbury's is certainly the best.

Sainsbury's Newport. What a disgrace. Will never shop here again. The manager in front of other queing customers insinuated that I was some sort of scammer or an idiot because I was returning a bottle of wine because the neck had broken off when removing the Cork. The manager said they hadn't had any other reports of this so it was somehow my fault or maybe was some sort of scam where I drank a glass of the wine and then return the rest. This was a £6.75 bottle of wine.I must spend around £200 per week in Sainsbury's but not anymore.Previously this store has tried to rip me off 3 times in one week by showing one price on the shelves then a different higher price at the checkout.Try doing your job properly Mr manager and spend less time ridiculing your customers when you should be making an apology and swift refund.Nice one Sainsbury's.

I rarely shop inside this store but I use the click and collect service every week. This review relates solely to my experience of that today and is in no way a reflection of the people who staff the service. They have always been friendly, helpful and efficient. The click and collect service operates by storing groceries in a Sainsbury's van. Customers pull up in a parking bay near the van to collect. Until this week, the van had always been located at the far end of the car park. This worked really well because it is always a quiet area of the car park; virtually empty most of the time.Today I arrived to discover that the van has been relocated to the first parking aisle. This is the busiest part of the car park. I don't know what manager dreamt up the idea of moving the van, but I think they need a serious performance review because the decision is literal insanity.Just what problem was moving the van supposed to solve? Who actually benefits from the new location? Customers certainly don't. Those using the store, who understandably want to park as close as possible, have lost prime parking bays. Customers using click and collect now have much more limited places where they can pull up. Sainsbury's staff certainly don't. They now have to spend their whole shift in a high emissions area rather than being in a quiet part of the car park. Sainsbury's certainly doesn't. A depreciation in the quality of ease of parking is going to put customers off, who may then choose to shop elsewhere. Please, please, please move the van back!
