Free to park if you are a National Trust member or English Heritage member otherwise it is expensive, but you can easily spend all day there. Personally I love the place, the car park is plenty big enough but would benefit from being tarmaced.

We visited last month. Car park very small. We got there early which was lucky. Cars queuing when we were leaving and difficult to manoeuvre out as car crammed into nonexistent car park spaces. Just needs to be bigger. Card payment accepted.

Absolutely amazing! Places to park! lol joking aside it was a bit muddy but adequate. You can pay via machine or go to the main reception. Bit of a hike to attraction but all very peaceful

Short walk from carpark to Avebury village and Stones. Don't even attempt to park anywhere else than the official carpark as we were on a motorcycle and couldn't even find a place to leave the bike other than in the official carpark.

Free parking for English heritage and national trust members. The car park is large but still not enough as this is a popular place with no other parking options nearby.

Good place to park, when I arrived the main car park was almost full however they had an over flow car park that I was able to use with plenty of free spaces. A one way system is in use around the car park so no queues despite it being busy.Cost is £7 for the day, as I came late I got charged £4.Beware the machines use the pay by phone app but the phone signal in the area is non existent. You can pay via coins but not Notes.I had no coins or phone reception however I was able to pay at the nearby “Old Farmyard” building / cafe area. They take card, took my reg gave a receipt and all was good. The car park closes at 18:00, I got lost doing the trails and it was still open at 19:00 with other cars still present and other people leaving.

Wonderful place to visit, the stone circles are reason enough but there's so much more here. There is a super little museum explaining the background and history of Avebury which is full of ancient artefacts. The gardens are lovely, the first garden has the most amazing mix of colour and form I've seen at any Trust site. However it's the house that is just fantastic. It's very special because it's probably the most hands on site you'll visit. There are almost no restrictions. You can enjoy the reconstruction created by the BBC by interacting with everything. Each room matches the style of a particular period, each in chronological order; and it's superbly done.Have a wonderful day out.

Free for Nat Trust members or £7 a car, £10 a motorhome. Parking for motorhomes in the Coach Area. No facilities on site, but only a 5 min walk into the village, stones and Manor House. No overnight parking - gated.

gps or else! the parking area is not well developed and confusing to this american, we ended up going to the checkin area at the stone henge like village and paying the parking fee, hint take a phone picture of your car plate , you will then pay via card or?? and not have to go back to your veh.
