Soho Road Health Centre

I have been with soho health centre from when I was born which is 27 years .before Covid I would hardly be able to get an appointment. They would take ages to answer the phone, knowing that there are 2 to 3 people on the reception I am still waiting in long lines ques,when speaking to some of the doctors regarding my mental health i felt like they were rushing to get me off the phone, and if I wanted to understand the advice they were giving me better they would talk so quickly and make me feel so unwelcome that I just didn’t want to be on the call ,they made me feel like they didn’t want to speak to me and just rushed me and would just prescribe me and thing,After Covid I feel like the doctor surgery has gotten worse calling for an appointment is impossible. I call at 8 am when they open and I am told by an automated system that due to high call volumes they are not able to take my call at this time. When I am put into a queue I will remain at the same number in the que for around 15 minutes at a time. The only doctor that shows compassion and care is DR Asha She took time to reassure me that she was going to help me. She also asked me to call her back in two weeks to update her on my situation. I feel like she cared and I feel as though the others rush my appointment. I’m so unhappy with the surgery. I am leaving. There have been so many times I’ve had to not have treatment or ignore my illness due to not having an appointmentI would give the surgery a zero from the doctors ,to calling in for an appointment, to the reception staff. However, doctor asthma is the reason I am giving the surgery one as she has never made me feel like a burdenShe did not rush me off the phone or try to give me a prescription for something that was unrelated to my symtoms ,Like another doctor did just to try and get me off the phone quickly. I remember the doctor did not even ask in-depth what my symptoms were I questioned as to why I was was being prescribed this product he then changed his mind on what he was going to give me I feel if I didn’t ask him why I was being prescribed this product he would’ve continued to give me what he had originally decided making me feel that it was a rushed decision, and he wanted to just quickly get me out of his office.

So glad that I an my mother changed to this surgery, Receptionist will go out of her way to assist you. (MRSKAUR) is fantastic. Dr's make you feel at ease, listen to your issues professionally. I have never left the surgery feeling that I have not been heard.They kept up their professionalism especially in what could be described as a very difficult time for both patents and surgeries across the country due to the pandemic and continue to do so.

Nurse Azan was horrible. She said she will give me my prescription i waited went to my pharmacy and she didn't even tell them. I've been suffering for so long and I just got an appointment now I see that she didn't even give me my prescription. I called the reception and I couldn't get another appointments and was being told to call again tommorow for what? The same call tommorow" horrible"

Dr signy reception is extremely rude she has hanged up the phone multiple of times I don’t know what kind of behaviour is this but this is extremely outrageous how can someone be so rude when there people in need of help this lady is a racist she will be rude to people who are not if the same origin action should be taken at this point i just wish there would be a -10 stars as i would give it to them

If I could leave a minus review I would. Had an appointment for my 1 yr old daughter today. By the time I was seen to at the reception I was 10 mins late, if i could book myself in at most I was maybe a few mins passed my appointment time. Now they refused to see me. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s fine for them to keep patients waiting for 45-1hr but a few mins late and the doctor didn’t see me.Then the receptionist was no help. I asked to see someone senior, she said that is a senior doctor. Anything I said she countered and was of no help at all. Where are our rights as patients?! There’s no one in our corner, there’s no one we can go to, where’s the humanity. This was a baby’s appointmentToo stunned for words

ABSOLUTELY rude staff at reception. Lack of formality when speaking , have no manners , completely cut you off when you are speakingIf you do not like your jobDONT DO ITSimpleWill be changing surgery very soon.I wouldn't even give this surgery 1 star but for writing this review i have to.

*DR SAINI'S RECEPTIONIST*If only I could give 0 Stars.- Getting an appointment is impossible- Even if you call at 8am you wont get an appointment- Extremely rude receptionist. Doesn't even try, she's been stealing a living for the past 10+ years.- Even if you do get an appointment guess what... its never face to face. She will only ever give phone appointments till the doctor actually speaks to you and then asks you to come in.- Expect to wait around 1 hour past your slot if you manage to get an appointment.- Doctor will shout at you for going elsewhere- If you get an appointment you will notice there are barely any other people at the doctors.... yet they are over run?I honestly believe they are using COVID as an excuse to avoid seeing people. They are an absolute disgrace and the NHS IS IN THE BIN! If this GP went under you it wouldnt even make a difference.Disgrace of a receptionist, if she has no willingness to help then she should seek another profession... but she wont. Why would she go else where when she is being paid to sit on her backside.

This GP center seems like it's only for Asian people, when you called to make appointment I can never get one. Staff telling patients to go to Dudley road walk in centre. I never see a white or black staff around the desk. I wonder if they care about the reviews they get? Because the ratings is extremely poor for such a big health center. I think it's a racist thing.

Awful place. Took me of the register and wont put me back on. I have given my ID and filled the forms 3 times and still keep telling me they don't have my details on record. What do the staff receptionist" actually do. Because every time I go there they fob me off and say so hospital when it is not an emergency. If they did there jobs properly then the hospitals would not be over run. There's a thought for you guys. Just do your jobs its not rocket science."
