I do have to say I am rather surprised by the raving reviews this charity shop has received and I would have once agreed with many of them but unfortunately my experience today left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. Time and time again I have found that certain charity shops, specifically the staff, may look down upon you or judge you more differently than the elderly and other people in the shop depending on the way you present yourself or the way in which you speak and tragically this is all too true today. I have quite the habit of popping into a few charity shops every now and then, especially since my oldest daughter adores them, but this specific shop had quite the unwelcoming atmosphere specifically towards my daughter. She has autism and thus finds it difficult to properly communicate or collect herself in public places due to this the staff alienated her and almost caused her to enter a severe panic attack. I am ashamed that a place of charity and aid would willingly portray this sickening behaviour and quite frankly it turns my stomach.

An absolute gem when it comes to vintage and secondhand furniture across three floors. Check out their sideboards, kitchen furniture and sofas. Delivery can also be done for a small cost which is really handy.

I would argue that this is the best charity shop in Liverpool. Guaranteed you won’t get that distinctive old clothing ‘charity shop smell’ like in so many others. From clothing to vinyl, books, fair trade food items and toiletries, Oxfam is always well stocked with a range of beautiful items to purchase. Staff always try their best to help out customers and are very friendly. The current manager, Chantelle, is particularly good at putting a fair price on vintage items, and there are lots of hidden gems to be found.
