This is a beautiful church amongst the fields not far from Barming. Its like a secret spot and only a short walk from the River Medway. It has a lovley interior with plenty of seating. And there is also plenty of car parking.

The Parish Church of St Margaret in Barming is a lovely place to visit, whilst we were taking photos for Google Maps and Street view I was invited to climb the stone stairs to the steeple and to also view inside the Bell Tower.Anyone who likes a really lovely Church will enjoy visiting The Parish Church of St Margaret.

Beautiful village church with many different sized bright stained glass windows, all around the church depicting many different scenes from the Bible.Traditional wooden bench pews face the altar inside, it has a beautiful stone font in the middle/towards the back of the church. When Wil holds a baptism he makes sure everyone can see it by displaying it on the projector screen at the front of the church. The projector is also used to display notices at the beginning and end of services and for hymn words for people to use to sing along to so you don't need a hymn book or anything. Very modern and simple.Wil is an excellent vicar who takes care of the church, it's surroundings and its parish extremely well, holding as many different groups, meetings and family days as possible in order to spread the word of God to the best of his ability. St Margarets is a wonderful place because of him and his family. The church itself is well maintained by a group of willing volunteers on a regular Rota basis, all make it look warm and welcoming. The churchyard is also well kept by a lovely group of hard workers who volunteer their time every week, many of them have done for many years. This treasured church really is the heart of the community, even if it is a little tucked away down a long lane, maybe that's what makes it even more special.
