Audio Emotion

I was initially very happy with Audio Emotion's service and the deal they offered me, and originally gave then 5 stars. The service seemed personal and genuine. This initial impression was short-lived, however, when the staff member I was dealing with started blanking me and ignoring my emails. The biggest insult was being blanked after making a 3 hour round trip to go see him to build the rest of my system. From my perspective this seemed to coincide with a. my saying that I might not spend as much as anticipated on the rest of the system I had been trying to plan with them; b. when I sought after-sales support for a significant noise issue coming from the brand new Acoustic Signature turntable I'd bought from them.When I spoke to Audio Emotion staff in-person, they dismissed the turntable noise as 'probably a mobile phone near the turntable' or something else I must be doing wrong. I knew this wasn't the case, and further emails to them about this were ignored. I had a struggle on my hands and stressed about it for a few weeks, having to speak to Citizens' Advice after having parted with more money than I'd spent on my car! With no replies, I eventually emailed Acoustic Signature direct, who after some resistance said they would contact Audio Emotion about this. The dealer emailed after I published my experiences online. I asked them to let me try a new tonearm, cable and cartridge to see if I could identify the source of the turntable noise problem, and they agreed. It turned out that the tonearm wiring, as I had suspected, was defective. I replaced the tonearm cable and the problem was solved.This updated review reflects both the weeks of unnecessary stress I went through trying to get help from Audio Emotion when they clearly weren't interested, and the resolution of the problem. Whilst I appreciate the replacement cable, it's too little, too late. Audio Emotion's unnecessary avoidance of the issue until I wrote online reviews ruined the enjoyment of building a decent hifi system for the first time in my life. That was down to a lack of sincerity on their part, of that I have no doubt.My honest feedback to Audio Emotion, Fife would be: If you're genuine and fair with people (instead of pretending to be until you get the sale) customers will be more likely to come back to you and give you more of their money. Even if you're only cynically interested in a profit, the logic here is pretty simple really.

Came across Audio emotion on the Internet after a lot of research, fantastic company. Got in touch with them, and made contact with Gordon who was brilliant, and patient, this was my first time looking for high end Audio equipment. Great service, lent me a cd player too use, until mine arrived. Will definitely be using them again, many thanks, Paul Jordan

I recently purchased a pre-owned Linn Series 3 wireless speaker from Audio Emotion. Very efficient service, a quick phone call to check it was in stock, then ordered on the web site; it arrived safely the very next morning. I’d heard the Linn series 3 elsewhere and was most impressed with the sound but the price of a new unit was a bit beyond my budget. However, this used one was available for a good price at AE and, as advertised, has only the most minor signs of use and performs like new. Sounds wonderful, by the way. Very satisfied with the Linn Series 3 and the excellent, rapid, service from Audio Emotion.
