As someone who isn't picky about food I was appalled. To start with there was limited choice as the kitchen was out of a lot of items. The roast dinner was awful, potatoes looked old and were a bit soft and flavourless, I couldn't actually chew the parsnips as they were almost raw and there was no gravy served to help the situation. We sat by the river and although the view was lovely there was food on the floor under the tables and it just didn't seem too well kept. That said the staff were lovely and I couldn't fault their service. Would return only for a drink and a view but definitely not the food.

A great place to eat. In a nice location literally next to the River Avon and the Bidford bridge but benefit by having a car park. I have ate here a few times and I'm glad to say the food has remained consistently good on all occasions. Good independent pub grub and not your usual ghastly franchise pub fare The staff are a nice friendly bunch as well. Worth a check!

What a lovely pub down by the river watching the boats and people on it,it has a lovely atmosphere with polite staff with a good choice of beers and a great menu we will definitely be back

Beautiful location and great choice of drinks but the garden and loos need maintenance. A bit style over substance"The picnic tables under the marquee are so wobbly with loose bolts it's impossible to use some of them. The Beautiful wooden tables under the gazebo in the non smoking area don't get wiped down so on a Sunday afternoon they are sticky and covered with fragments of food from the previous occupants.We leant on a railing to look at the river and the wooden top was loose.The loos looked delightful at first glance but toilet seats leave much to be desired

Glad we chose The Frog. Nice place to relax indoors or outside. Lovely terrace (could do with a bigger non smoking area or screening and maybe a bit of music) to enjoy the scenery. Staff were lovely, good range of drinks at usual prices and the food was great. Onion rings finished us off lol. Good place to visit though if you're in the area.

A great pub with lovely food. It's just a shame it was so cold in there. We had to move by the fire to not be uncomfortable

The food was outstanding, the menu is small, a hand full of choices but deliciousI would definitely come back here again.The ambiance is warm and welcoming.There’s not very many vegetarians options which I would of liked to see more of.The bar area could be a little cleaner(cobwebs around wall lights and a few flys buzzing around)

Popped in for a late lunch and a beer after completing a 5 mile walk from Bidford along the river to Cleeve Prior, via Marlcliff.Drinks were sound and the fish and chips were gorgeous!! Service with a smile from everyone.Just needs a lick of paint in places, and the toilets sorting out.Still, excellent staff and fab food.

Sadly I really wanted to enjoy this pub but it fell short.... we came for dinner as it was a pub that popped up on Google as dog friendly and as we were visiting, took the chance.Bar staff were very friendly, and the decor is hip/cool, beer garden right on the river. So if it was just a drink, we probably would have enjoyed it more. But the food was a real letdown. Mistyped menu to start, which should have given me a red flag from the start, but I wanted to give them a chance.If they get the food right this place could be a gem. Maybe just stick to pizzas or burgers get them spot on and it would work rather them a mix of everything that's sub par.
