I have trained extensively with Steve at Kingstar in the past, and I can honestly say that he has forgotten more in the way of martial knowledge than most of us will ever know. Having trained with everyone from Master Sken, Sensei Tommy Kwan and Rick Young, to Danny Inosanto and Ricky Hatton, the man's understanding of combat, at all ranges, is honestly encyclopaedic. In addition, Steve is a great teacher, always seeming to know when to push, and when to allow you to move a little slower for greater understanding. The club is a great resource for young and old alike, fun and relaxed, but with a disciplined, martial spirit. A fantastic place to build character. Finally, Steve himself is a superb conversationalist, and knows more about Bruce Lee and Jimi Hendrix than anyone I have ever met! Highly, highly recommended, for you, your children, or all of you together.

My daughter trains there and the instructors are very professional and very strict with the kids. This is a good environment for fitness as well as discipline. Highly recommend Steve and the Kingstar Gym.

A definite five star gym where adults and children can comfortably learn the art of self defence aswell as make good friends and enjoy a few good laughs along the way.There are not many gyms like this with the wealth of knowledge commitment and experience, the instructor Steve has put in his love, passion and joy of teaching others the marital arts of many countries in the hope that through his teachings the knowledge of other cultures that this will go on to enhance and go onto inspire our future generations that through knowledge comes wisdom.
