The place is great with very nice staff. The food is delicious and portions are very generous. The big pot of gravy or curry sauce is good for up to 4 people. It is worth visiting. If you will go on Friday you may expect a bit longer wait and nowhere to park, so you may have to park a bit away from the place. Not sure about across the road as there is b&m parking, but please check if you can park there and leave the site as you may get a ticket. Enjoy your meal!!!

£8.25 for a large chips, cheese and gravy. £8.25.We’re not chatting thrice-fried maris pipers in beef fat, or artisanal cheddar sourced from its Somerset heritage, or a beef gravy jus made from roasted bones, caramelised vegetable and a deep cab suav… it’s concocted from a value-by-volume sack of tatties, a sweaty block of Brakes cheddar, and a box of no-frills “chip shop gravy granules” with lumps due to lack of whisking.Even ordering poutine from a hipster bar would be cheaper than this. Their food cost percentage is through the roof!

Great quality, dry crispy chips with good flavour and quality haddock with a moist texture. Excellent value, and very good quality fish and chips.

Never used this chippy. But the food was amazing and prices were OK and what I expected, Will use again next time I am in Carlisle

Small cod, chips and a sauce of your choice for £6! Excellent value and more than enough food for me (there are chips underneath the fish in the photo). Plus it's excellent quality and always delicious!

Very good. Large portion sizes. Been great for years. Can be very busy at tea time, always have plenty off staff on though.

A very popular chippy serving fresh fish and chips. The battery was light crispy and not greasy. Portion sizes are good.
