Has lunch here. Very friendly staff, excellent service. I had fish and chips. The lightest thin batter. Delicious fish. Good chunky chips. Husband had burger and chips he enjoyed too. Lovely location in the village

During our stay at Upper Slaughter we walked to the Manor House twice for drinks on the lawn outdoors and dinner in the pub. Lovely grounds and a beautiful setting on an early summer’s evening. The food was nicely prepared and presented which is why we made a return visit.

When we paid over 500 pounds a night for one room, we expected an outstanding service. We were disappointed by 3 aspects:1) my daughter's bed was the worst I have seen by far. Most camping sites are better quality than that ... see the picture. My daughter had to sleep with us.2) the room was dusty.3) although the food was good, the breakfast service was so bad. People were served in a random order and my pregnant wife and my 6 year's old daughter had to wait for 40 minutes to be served an omelette..... and only after I complained twice to the waiter. For me this place does not stand to the level of standards it pretends to have.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Slaughter Manor House in November 2023. The historical structure is beautifully maintained, and the staff members each possess that genuine helpfulness you encounter at the finest spots in the Cotswolds.Conor is a talented gem as a manager. He recalls the smallest of details about guests, makes you comfortable with his disarming wit, and assists you in making great choices with drink pairings and food choices. When we return to the UK, that return will involve a return to the Slaughters Manor House. Absolute great experience. I cannot recommend a place any greater than this.

Absolutely charming and cozy hotel and staff! Wonderful location and close to Bourton On The Water for shopping and dining! Would highly recommend and would definitely revisit in the future!

Great hotel, lovely room, lovely lounges but absolutely zero atmosphere/vibe. No one in the bar drinking at night- the dining room lacked any sort of atmosphere. Such a shame as the hotel and grounds and location are perfect. It’s only an assumption- but perhaps £20 for a g&t and £7:50 for a flat white may have something to do with the empty bar/lounges. And may also explain why the slaughters inn across the road was buzzing!!!

It’s a beautiful property with a great surrounding area. The food here was great, although drinks were a bit pricey. Please note - the rooms here get HOT. They provided fans to keep air circulating, but there is no AC and the windows do not open enough to allow cooler air to come in at night.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The entire staff was fabulous. Our suite was perfect and stunning. The food was excellent. I have a dairy allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure my dietary needs were met. We hope to someday be able to return! If you’re looking for a perfect place to stay then look no further.

Absolutely awful !I was violently I’ll in the way homeWhy?I asked for a gluten free meal and was duly presented with two course with a blue label saying special needs. I was offered a gluten free Yorkshire Lu. Great. I had a pleasant starter followed by roast pork jus and veg including cauliflower cheeseWe left. 30 minutes later I had a violent reaction stomach cramps and severe diahirrea. I had ingested gluten!I called the hotel to talk to the chef or manager. No answers I think the gravy was thicker amwuth a flour roux which noons thought to check so despite all the fanfare I was given an ingredient which I expressly asked to avoid and our family Sunday was spoiltFirtubTkey I did not get anaphylaxis but if you have an allergy AVOID this place

Extremely poor management that under trains staff that are over worked. If you’re looking for good service you will receive better at MacDonalds.Overpriced venue with a once great reputation that is now on a steep decline to garbage.
