The food was brilliantly delicious. The staff was so nice and delightful. They helped accommodate me in every regard. It's was such a pleasure to dine here. I will be back on a weekly-monthly basis. CHEERS !!!!!!!

My recent visit to The Wellington was exceptional. Everything from the service to the mood and feel was top-notch. I can't say enough about the haddock I had, it was truly amazing. Highly recommend!! Xx

Review based on lunch on the 1st October 2023.I had sirloin roast dinner Sirloin was overcooked Yorkshire pudding was like a piece of rubber. I got 3 tiny pieces of potato which would not have made a whole potato out of the bits. The veg was not fresh frozen". I ordered extra mash which was out of a packet and the cauliflower cheese was very poor. Best thing was the gravy which was not exceptional either. Pudding was Sticky toffee pudding with lumpy custard which had clearly been sitting for a while. We had 1 roast meal 2 burgers and 3 puddings along with 2 fresh og and lemonade and 2 colas. £81 pounds for this would have been fine if the food was excellent

I have been staying at the Wellington for 3 months with work. I have stayed in numerous hotels in the last 30 years but this place beats them all. The staff are excellent very friendly and professional. The food is outstanding I can't rate it highly enough. Thanks again it is appreciated.

I was staying in the are to visit some castles the next morning. The rooms are much more spacious then I expected. The restaurant too was amazing I didn't know Scottish people aside from ramsay himself could cook this good. The steak I had was filling and the cooks made it exactly the way I like it right in between medium rare and medium. Like I didn't expect the waitress or the cooks to get it as correct as they did.If I ever come back to Scotland I'm definitely coming back here there's no doubt in my mind.

I travel up from Edinburgh a few times a year to visit friends and family. Only recently discovered that the Wellington has rooms. This will be the place I stay at from now on. You can’t beat the location and especially the rates. Absolutely first class from top to bottom and the staff are excellent too!

We were glad to find a dog friendly place to eat on our recent visit to the area. To ensure we had a good table we asked a member of staff to reserve a certain table in the bar for us and left a contact number. However, on returning later we discovered that the table had been given away to a “walk in” and we were given two chairs hunched over a coffee table in the entrance. On hindsight we should have just left but as it was getting late decided to stay. This was a wrong decision as the food was average at best and it was uncomfortable leaning over the table to eat. Would not return here.
