Tecalemit Garage Equipment

If you want equipment that breaks down all the time then this is the company for you. Spent £5000 on an emissions machine and had nothing but problems with it. Every time we need it looking at (which is pretty much every 2- 3 months) it costs you £150 for the pleasure of a site visit. They serviced it, it broke down within a week... and then tried to charge us another £150 for a site visit... LOL. After a little discussion with one of the senior members, they decided it was fair not to charge us (as you'd expect, a week after a service). We've had 2 day gaps where we cant MOT out customers cars because the machine has gone down and they can't get to us till 2 days later! So not only does it cost you money for them to come out, you lose money & professionalism with your customers when you cant MOT their car on their booked appointment day!!! So yeah... if you like paying out money for nothing and having nothing but problems then Tecalemit are the people for you.

When these guys first installed my ramp I had to chase them up for weeks as they left airlines exposed on the floor leaving a trip hazard. The next time I spoke to these guys was for assistance on the ramp they had sold me which broke down and they were again not helpful. I was told I’d have a call back with an eta for an engineer which didn’t happen so when I questioned this Faye politely told me “they can’t magic engineers out of thin air”.I’ve had to sort their poor quality equipment out myself with a third party company but to any garage looking to use this company please bear in mind the aftersales is up there with the worst. There’s plenty of garage equipment firms in the UK that are more professional and helpful. I would strongly advise you give these guys a miss-TERRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL!

After an initial issue and delay getting our machine repaired under warranty, I'm pleased to say Tecalemit resolved the problem. The office manager stepped in and got everything sorted, thank you.

Bought a full ATL test lane , had issues rite from the start , many repairs carried out Under warranty . Once your warranty is up expect big bills my last one being £1177.80 even though you have had the same issue repaired many times under warranty they don’t care . Repairs will be carried out without authority but still have to be paid and they hold you to ransom until you pay regardless.

I purchased an MOT bay from Tecalemit a few months ago. I am a garage equipment supplier and bought the bay as a self-install bay on behalf of a customer. We came up with a potential issue during the installation and needed Tecalemit to support us to rectify the issue. The issue was nothing to do with the equipment so I contacted Penny and Mark in the service department for advice and their support was second to none. Given that this was a self install both Penny and Mark did everything possible to get the bay up and running quickly. Because of their hard work and support we now have a very happy customer and now carrying out MOTs in his new business. Thank you Penny and Mark I will definitely be using you again in the future. :-)

Worst company ever, bought 7 ramps and they all are giving problems from the first day, apart from the theirs ramps there customer service is disgraceful. Will never recommend anyone to use this company. Biggest scam ever

Only 1 star because 0 star is not available. Just had an MOT bay installed. The computer they supplied updated to windows 11 and their equipment is not compatible with windows 11 so they held us to ransom and we ended up having to pay for a new computer even though we have a service plan. Now they said we need to update the software on the gas analyser at an extra cost. You would think that just being installed the equipment would be Dvsa compliant They have no customer service. They could have easily resolved these issues or prevented them by a simple email to say don’t update to windows 11.

Avoid at all costs. Ordered a 4 ton ramp and was told it would be fitted within a week. 3 weeks later they delivered what was clearly a secondhand ramp, even their driver said it was!The ramp was covered in oil and brick dust. I protested and was told they drill and bolt them to the floor to test them. Their factory floor must look like a colander.I gave them another chance and they were supposed to deliver another ramp a fortnight later. No communication and when I chased to find out why it hadn't come I was told it had been shipped to the other end of the UK. They promised a same day refund which didn't materialize. I actually called into their office and sat there until I was seen. I now have been told its a 5 day wait for refunds. don't bother and don't believe anything they tell you.
