St Giles Church
Heavily restored by Woodyer in 1870, who added the odd top stage on the otherwise grim 12th century tower. Good Victorian glass, and a superb Byzantine-style icon of the patron saint. Woodyer's north arcade is interesting, lacking capitals.Most visitors come to see the very old yew tree, round the back and possibly the oldest in Sussex.

St Giles Church
13th century Anglican parish church dedicated to Saint Giles. An 11th century gravestone and a simple Saxon font are present on the site. A yew tree near the north west corner is among the oldest in England, believed to be over 3000 years.Following a Victorian renovation most of the church furnishings and decorations date from the 1870 restoration and were also designed by Henry Woodyer.Parking is possible nearby and the church seems to be open daily.
