MHA The Homestead - Residential & Dementia Care Home

My dad has been at The Homestead since August , all the staff has made him feel very welcome and he has settled it well, you only have to ask for something and it is either done or sorted. The staff are so caring and the food looks amazing , since being there Dads mental and physical well being has improved, thank you to all the staff from the manager to the deputy, office staff, care staff , cleaners, chefs and housekeeping you are doing an amazing job !!

Mum is so happy here and the staff are amazing, so pleased we chose this home for her. The entertainment team are excellent, mums dementia seems to have improved since she’s been there despite all the covid restrictions.

A good place to stay.

Total lack of communication. Mum was on the dementia floor and it was impossible to get through on the phone for any updates most of the time, although we were told to ‘ call anytime’. We were not informed until 2 weeks after that mum had covid, and at one point we were emailed a photo of mum naked from the waist down to show a bruise on her arm. We did not feel residents on the dementia floor were treated with respect or dignity. Staffing levels were poor.
