An enjoyable 2 hour walk on a warm summer's night, hearing about the darker side of Birmingham's past, with Al who is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. We would strongly recommend it to others and will certainly be signing up for an upcoming history tour with Al.

I really enjoyed the Dark Side of Birmingham tour and Al was a great host. The subject matter was a bit grim at times, but it was intriguing and I learned quite a bit I didn't know about the city.

Wow! Such a fantastic dark tour around the Jewellery Quarter, Colmore Row and Victoria Square. Al is so friendly and fantastic at what he does. His stories are suitably spooky and mysterious and the way he tells the stories will leave you hooked and wanting to find out more! Thank you so much Al!

Had a lovely time wandering in the city streets with Alan, lots of details and discussion around the city's history and purpose of the building.The walk was pretty interesting...and easy going despite covering a large part of the city.

Al ran a wonderful tour of Birmingham today, I learned loads and had a great time! We walked about 2 miles in 2 hours, with plenty of stops along the way. Al is knowledgeable, friendly and full of witty stories! Thank you again :)

Al has such a warm personality and is a highly motivated guide. You can tell he is very passionate about Birmingham and what he does. I did the city Centre 2-hour walking tour and time flew. I did not feel tired and enjoyed listening to him all the way through. We were unfortunately surprised by a hail storm but that did not stop him from finishing the guided tour and he asked us what we would like to do before continuing. Highly recommended.

We did the Dark Side walking tour and it was excellent. Al is very knowledgable and engaging - we learned lots of things we didn't know about Birmingham despite being lifelong brummies! It was the right mix of serious and fun and Al clearly knows his stuff. Would very much recommend and we are definitely going to book the 1000 years of Birmingham history tour too!
