It was such an incredible experience hiring the electric pedal bikes from Ian. Prior to renting them, I was overconfident in thinking my wife and I would be fine with just pedal bikes. There’s no way we could have tackled the distances we did without Ian’s electric ones, and they made the hills so much easier. We are in fair shape, but I don’t think we would have been able to do it without them!Ian is also a very nice guy and gave us a lot of local information to help us see as many key points as we could in the two days we rented from him. We were a group of ladies hiring e-bikes for the first time for half a day. Ian was super- helpful and very patient with us, explaining how the bikes worked and offering suggestions for where to go. We had great fun exploring the local cycle route and country lanes - the battery meant we could explore hilly lanes that we would otherwise not have done. We would definitely do it again.

A fantastic experience cycling across Northumbria, following Hadrian's Wall. Ian provided an excellent service, dropping me off on the West coast (Bowness-on-Solway), and picking me up at the East coast (Tynemouth). Also took the time to provide advice and interesting spots I could go and visit during my multi-day trip. First class service with Ian at Hadrians Cycling - right from the initial enquire when we were planning our trip (via email from New Zealand) he was so prompt in reply with all the questions we had. The bikes were delivered to our hotel in Carlisle and picked up again when we had finished 8 days later in Galashiels. Very good quality electric bikes with all equipment supplied. I cannot speak more highly of the service that we received and would definitely recommend to anyone planning a cycling holiday in the Scottish borders/Northumberland

Myself and my 15 year old daughter hired electric bikes for the day from Ian and we had an absolutely fantastic time. Ian dropped the bikes off at our accommodation near Hexham and spent time with us making sure we knew how everything worked and that we were comfortable with the set up. He also provided a brilliant route for us which we could easily follow on OS maps and took in some amazing sites on Hadrian's Wall and lots of options for stopping off for food & drinks. The highlight of the day was a wonderful cream tea at Langley Castle. The bikes were extremely high quality and we had no problems at all. Ian was waiting for us back at our accommodation at the end of the day to pick the bikes up. All in all the day was superb and we would definitely hire bikes again from Ian as he operates a really professional and friendly service.

Our party rented three e-bikes from Ian for four days in July 2023. The service provided was truly excellent, right from the response times to emails, to delivery to our hotel, to setting each person up with their bike, to collection and all round professionalism . I was part of a group of 15 people ( of mixed fitness /cycle experience) who did a full day tour with Ian. It was outstanding. The bikes worked brilliantly and Ian was a great guide leading at the front with his colleague at the rear ensuring that the slower riders were okay. He chose a spectacular route for us - breathtakingly beautiful and was so knowledgeable about the area and its history. I would highly recommend any visitor to the area to take one of his tours - it was the highlight of our visit

Ian who runs Hadrian Cycling Ltd has an in-depth knowledge of Northumberland, The Pennines, the Lake District and more.I was blown away with just how helpful and friendly Ian and everyone in the area is - pick up, drop off, loan of equipment, advice or a chat about the football, nothing was too much trouble. It's truly heart warming to meet genuine people like this.As for the bikes, I'm a non E-bike user at home but with the energy not what it was and carrying heavy packs; the bikes are just what you need. They also allow you to see more in a shorter space of time.Please support Ian and his business and treat the bikes and equipment with care. P.S. We had a great experience with Hadrian Cycling. Ian was so great to work with as we made plans via email in the days leading up to our visit. He delivered bikes to our bed and breakfast and provided us with detailed maps and recommendations. Highly recommend.
