Have had 2 new power steering pumps fitted in the last 3 months and both have failed. The first one started to grind after 4 weeks and the second one was fitted 2 weeks ago. It's now making the same noise. I'm going to take it back to the store and look for my money back. I've since had the first pump sent back stating there was no fault. I've contacted them by email but haven't had any response to date. Will be interesting to see if they respond

This company refurbished 4 brake calipers for me in April 2018.6 months later one of the calipers suffered a catastrophic failure while I was coming to a halt in my garage.As a result of this the car was in collision with the end of the garage- causing circe £15k worth of damageShaftec asked for the failed caliper (which belongs to me) to be returned to them for their inspection. I obliged assuming I was dealing with a reputable company.Since then they have denied any responsibility BUT have refused to return my property to me - AND have refused access to my insurance company representatives (who quite understandably also want to inspect the faulty unit)This refusal was aggressive with threats made to the insurance company assessors who turned up at shaftec having previously made an appointment.This dispute is ongoing through the legal systemMake what you will of this review - it is true.Needless to say, I wouldn't use this company again if my life depended on it.

Shaftec don't buy parts won't last you 2 weeks, british factory made cheap quality , all staff tell lies, thay also supply A, to z, car parts birmingham , thay are also not honest,

I worked here through an agency for a couple of weeks in May 2022. I worked in the warehouse department packaging car parts. I just wanted to say even though I was only there short term as I was waiting for another job to come available, I was made to feel so welcome. Naturally there are less women in these environments, but everybody was so friendly to me and I really enjoyed working here. Thank you so much to everyone at Shaftec, from the managers, to other warehouse ops and the cleaner.

I’ve bought a few driveshafts and CVS from shafted, I will say after my first CV I just decided to buy a whole driveshaft. I’ve had nothing but good experiences and I’ve purchased 6 driveshafts and 2 CVs in my time so far and I’ve only had 1 issue which was a boot split under warranty. I got sent a replacement first and returned mine in the same box. I haven’t had no issues since. I’ve had pleasant interactions over the phone and if I repair any vehicle I always use shaftec or OEM if shaftec cannot supply. Would recommend!!

Would definitely give 0 star if there was an option.Selling inferior parts and not taking responsibility for the poor manufacturing. Still not been refunded for the part, and now another issue with the company loosing items sent to them.We shall be taking the matter further I do not recommend anyone purchasing their sub standard parts.

Was supplied a steering rack for a w164 mercedes ml 320. The steering rack has failed now 5 times. two separate mechanics have put sole blame on the part failing as opposed to other problems with the vehicle. Kept getting a replacement under warranty that kept failing: 5 times in 1 year! the last one failed after 2000 miles. Do not get parts from this supplier: If your steering rack cannot handle a heavier vehicle, don't supply it for that vehicle

I wish there was an option for zero stars as this company has supplied 2 steering racks for my customers Audi, 1 had parts missing, and the other had excessive play in the rack bushings causing excessive noise when driving. The company has rejected my warranty claim suggesting excessive heat was used (no heat was used) and the rack was damaged.We have had issues with other steering racks having been poorly re-manufactured and will under no circumstances be using this company again.My advice would be to avoid at all costs.

Car has been on and off the road, found out finally its the shaft this company was sent to refurbish.. it bottoms out against the gearbox when I go over pot bumps. Rang them and they are adamant they would not have caused the fault. But it wasn't doing that when I got the vehicle and I drove the car for say 4k miles then the inner joint was in need of replacing. No new ones available and I obviously chose the wrong company to do the refurbishment. Did they exchange it for an mg zs one from a different model not checking the records correctly... most probable as it looked like a brand new shaft. Most likely longer shaft by a few mm or the wrong end and the guy I spoke to today was rude and obnoxious, avoid this place like the plague and take your parts somewhere else to be reconditioned, moment I find that receipt I'll be taking legal actions as I have spent hundreds replacing wishbone bushes and arms ect when there was obviously nothing wrong with them and when I finally find the troublesome issue and ring up for a tech chat to find out what could have gone wrong on the driveshaft refurb to cause the bottoming out and he insists it must be fine, they do loads of refurbs without issues... I look at the reviews and I see that is obviously not the case.

absolute trash had a few cv joints from my supplier and never fit today I've had a caliper fitted it and leaks from the hosuing they obviously don't bother pressure testing safety critical components. absolutely shocking
