From the very beginning it is clear how much passion and dedication Ian has for teaching the piano. Despite lockdown and heaps of restrictions, he manages to continue teaching in a safe manner via 1-1 Skype sessions. Personally, I have found these lessons to be very beneficial to my progress, and have begun successfully learning grade pieces all from home with the help of these virtual lessons. Ian has proven with these online lessons the versatility of his teaching. He is also very flexible and finds timings best suited for you, despite his many students. Overall he is a very kind, calm and productive teacher who I would recommend to anyone looking to start piano lessons.

Ian is a great teacher and musician. He work extremely well with kids. Ian is patient and very understanding. The improvement in my daughters piano skills since starting with Ian is amazing. She finds the lessons fun, entertaining and interactive. During the coronavirus pandemic, Ian has conducted lessons over video skype. This has been great. I love the fact that my daughter can continue with her lessons while we are safe at home.

Ian has been teaching my son Max Piano for around 3 years now. In that time he has shown incredible patience with him and Inspires enthusiasm with each lesson. He makes his lessons enjoyable and fun and Max looks forward to them each week. It’s also great to hear him practice what he has been taught at home. I would highly recommended Ian to anyone looking for lessons.

My 9 year old daughter has been playing the piano with Ian for over a year. Her confidence has come along massively! Ian is able to keep her enthusiastic by recognising what my daughter enjoys and can adapt lessons to cater for her individual strengths and weaknesses.Ian is very talented in his ability and this shows as he transfers his technical knowledge in his teaching. He is flexible round our schedule and has a very patient nature. I couldn’t recommend him more highly!

I started taking piano lessons with Ian at the beginning of January. I had no previous music lessons and couldn't read any music. It has only been one month and now I can read music and I've even started learning Fur Elise (with good progress)! Overall, I have really enjoyed my lessons and Ian is a great and patient teacher. I can't wait to see how far I'll go after a year with his guidance.
