Visited Bakewell many many times from Glossop but never been to the museum. So glad we went today. It's a fascinating place with so much history and full of interesting exhibits. We were given a brief history of the Tudor building on arrival. Well worth the £6.50 entrance fee. And worth the long steep walk up to it. Although you can drive. John & Jane Parkin. The church is also a very interesting place to visit just below.

Having been to Bakewell on many occasions and we had never been to the Old House Museum so decided to visit. What a great place to find out about the house and Bakewell plus there are lots of memorbilia. There was a fantastic exhibition of 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II reign. The lady who was on duty was very knowledgeable and friendly.Well worth the £6 entry (12 months)and the walk up the hill.

A great little knowledge hub for a quaint little village in the peak district. Many old and rear artifacts about the history of the area and information about the way things were. Successions are available for carers. We paid only £10 for a group of four of us. Building is on two floors.

We were made very welcome by the two reception ladies, excellent explanation of the museum, which we found very interesting. The museum itself is well laid out and again, most interesting, thank you for a lovely experience

Beautiful little museum within Bakewell. Very interesting range of displays and the house itself is an exhibit all its own! Also your ticket is good for entry at any time within 12 months of purchase if you'd like to return.

Interesting local museum full of excentric but interesting charm. Enthusiastic local curators were full of pride in their museum.

The museum is well worth a visit if you are in the area, and so is the church.

A fascinating guided tour of this museum spanning through periods of history from 1600s up to present.Several rooms inside in ground and first floors to see, with various mini exhibitions also of the war years, antique toys and local geology upstairs .

It's a wonderful building with a lot of history and a lot to see. I feel some bits like the video needs updating a bit, but really it felt very relaxing to walk about the house reading about stuff. And yes as a cyclist I had to take a picture of the bicycle!
