Walkers Removals

I was getting quite desperate to find a removal firm due to a late exchange of contracts and August being one of the busiest months for house moving. As all my planned removal firms had no availability left, I looked on the BAR website and found Walkers had a space. I was slightly concerned about using an unknown firm, however, Walkers and especially Richard were superb. Helpful, kind and courteous, exactly what you need at a stressful time such as this. I cannot recommend Walkers enough. Nothing was too much for these guys. If I had to move again, Walkers would definitely be the first company I would contact on the list. Thank you so much for all the hard work.

Couldn't be more impressed.From the first phone call to the moving team driving away from our new home Walkers were outstanding... AND we were one of the examples of not getting our keys until late in the day, so not only did they arrive by 8.30am as agreed, getting us out by noon, but they then waited around as we did, finally moving us in by 6.30 pm (including breaking down and reassembling furniture). The team that supported us were efficient, polite and so clearly knew what they were doing it made a stressful day so much easier.I would always recommend them and certainly would use them again.Thank you!

I don’t know where to start. A massive shout out to John, Lee & Andy. Three top guys who made the process so easier and went over and beyond to help us. Moving home is always stressful, but these guys put us at ease. If I ever move again. I will personally request for these three chaps and happy to pay extra to have them. Excellent and top guys. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. On 3 occasions Walkers were told about the fragile nature of our stone dining table, however it was damaged in transit. The bigger problem is their insurance, they only use the industry minimum which will not put the table right as it was before the move. Do not use if you have expensive or delicate items. Their price was quite competitive.

Could not recommend Walkers Removals enough. Our move was a nightmare from start to finish with delayed exchange (3 days before move) and not getting keys till 4pm on day of completion. Walkers were amazing throughout the entire process, so understanding and patient. Jan in the office was beyond helpful and made a really stressful situation that bit more bearable. Guys who packed and moved us into our new home were brilliant, friendly and helpful throughout. Definitely won’t be moving again any time soon, but would 100% use Walkers again. Our story is rather different. Our move was initially planned in August, for another property 1hr away, we were given a quote for this. We finally completed on another property 20 mins away, we were told it would be a 3 day move which is of course reflected in the quote.On Thursday 13th October, the team arrived punctually, within 30mins they requested tea by dropping hints, when we didn’t provide biscuits, they were not happy! On completion day, 14th October, the crew arrived and commenced the move, all box’s were clearly marked, once we completed (12’ ) the crew commenced offloading, all boxes were clearly marked, in a rush to finish early on Friday (effectively a 2 day move) to move everything, the garage can only be described as a mountain stuff piled high up, can’t get in to sort through it, boxes for bedrooms were in garage, boxes for garage were upstairs etc etc. We were given the bill before they left, we paid over £3000. The washer and dryer move was also included in the price, I ended up disconnecting the machine as the men were completely unfamiliar with moving a washer, at the new property both washer and dryer were dumped in the utility, with myself having to install and move both into place. A very dissatisfied customer paying top notch prices for substandard service. Don’t use, go the Smeeton Panton!

Used them to move house. The guys doing the move were helpful, professional and friendly.This was also in 30 degree heat and even with this they did the work well.I could whole heartedly recommend them.
