Good company but dreadful web site. The good outweighs the bad.

Incredible service - right from the very organised pick up and delivery of my precious rug to the cleaning of it. James was courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Pilgrim Payne.

Our curtains were cleaned and they look great. James, the man who came to inspect our curtains, collect, return and rehang them was fantastic, very professional. He was very clear about what the service included when quoting and took a lot of trouble when he returned the curtains to make them look their best. Thank you.

After seeing such positive reviews I was very disappointed with my experience of Pilgrim Payne's attempt to clean my curtains in situ. I can't even criticise the workmanship since nothing actually got done. This was because the gentleman managed to pull down my curtain rail and reckoned to stick it back up with some glue. He whinged and whined for about twenty minutes claiming he had not had anything like this in 15 years and then left in a very bad mood having taken a few photos. I rang the office to let them know the position and they seemed quite amused with the whole episode. The following day the whole rail fell down bringing the curtains with it.

Extremely impressed with service and high quality of workmanship to alter and renew cushions for couches and armchairs which has brought new life back to furniture we still like and at a tenth of the cost of replacing. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, very helpful and came exactly when they said they would. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending. Excellent company!

I have used this company in the past, but the service this time was very unprofessional. I was given a time slot and was told I would be contacted within an EAT on the day. On the day, the engineer turned up ahead of time, without any warning, and kept calling on my intercom. I had to rush up and sent him away until the agreed time. I was quoted £160 + VAT, but the engineer explained that my carpet needed dry-cleaning so it would cost me £200 + VAT + ULEZ charge, amounting to £259 in the end. After the work was done, he handed a form for me to sign. It turned out that this was a consent form that he should have taken me through before the work was done and not after the work. He then told me he would phone the office for my payment by CC and they would ask me a few questions/feedback before taking my payment. Instead of this, he phoned directly the accounts department so they could take my payment straight away without asking me any question or feedback.My feedback on here has been handled very professionally by Graham, and a refund for the balance between what I was quoted on the phone and what I was charged has been made. We also agreed that some of PP would benefit from further training. Many thanks Graham.

Used this company for cleaning two sets of heavy curtains that had been up for several years. Good service from ringing up to make the appointment, to Gregory coming round to give a quote, then Gregory returning to take down the curtains for cleaning, then returning a week later to re hang them. So nice dealing with someone who is so experienced. Would definitely recommend this company.

12 yr old 6 metre voiles cleaned for first time. They were very gray, almost black. Came back very clean. Very happy with the result. James was professional and very helpful. Many thanks.
