I started training with Tom a couple of months ago after suffering with knee tendon problems and tight hips - and am noticeably stronger and more flexible with a much greater range of movement and balance. I was impressed with Tom's thorough assessment of what was causing my problems, and how he developed an exercise process totally tailored to my needs which he is constantly updating as I progress. The exercises are varied, interesting to learn and challenging enough for me to work hard and feel progress with each session. Tom is patient and really encouraging so that I feel confident to try new exercises. I'd thoroughly recommend ProTom!

Tom is the only PT to ever improve my back pain, he is extreamly knolegable on anatomy and really listens, he is worth every penny he charges, highly recommend to anyone with an injury that is struggling to fully recover. He is also very accomodating to helping out people with lower incomes in need of cheaper alternatives to traditional 1-1 training. I Would recommend to anyone wanting to get fit in a healthy, BUT VERY EFFECTIVE, safe way!

I had a really good time at ProTom. I started with the morning sessions and their professional training impressed me so much that I went with personal training. These three months training have been very effective, I lost some weight and gained some quite obvious muscles. The most of all is my lifestyle has been greatly improved, I definitely eat healthier and walk more (I used to get cabs all the time) and these changes are all because of ProTom. I highly recommend this place for whoever wants to lose some weight or live a healthier life :)—————————————————————Being training with Tom this entire time (on and off for 7 years) I just want to say he’s the best PT I’ve ever had and really highly recommend him.

I've been working with Tom and Dom at ProTom Fitness on a 1-2-1 boxing training schedule for the last 2.5 months. Coming in with zero experience I'm amazed at how well they've brought me along in such a short space of time.I've had numerous PT sessions and fitness classes/gym memberships over the years, but this is by far the best results I've seen in terms of consistency, fitness improvements, as well as technique and power work.I've also seen their classes from afar and can see that everyone is engaged and the quality of coaching is excellent. They're great at dealing with all people and all needs and they treat you like a human.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom and Dom and whilst I train in Cotham/Redland, I'm sure their other locations are just as strong.

Tom is an incredible trainer with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the martial arts. I've immensely enjoyed my 1:1 sessions on Boxing and Muay Thai with him. He's attentive to detail, excellent with enhancing your technique and form and ensures you get a good workout. I highly recommend him!

I've been attending kickboxing sessions for over a year now at Redland led by Tom of ProTom Fitness. The quality of the training is never in doubt. Tom is both patient and encouraging. I really like this style of training because it always forces you to try to nail the fundamentals before progressing to the more demanding, technical stuff. 5 stars out of 5 on all fronts.

Even though I had years of experience working out in a gym before starting to train with Tom, it was like nothing I had ever experienced before. He's funny and gregarious, and he's a walking encyclopaedia of useful information and techniques that can help you become a better version of yourself. If you want real improvement, as opposed to simply the superficial kind that comes from doing the same old treadmill and weight machine routine over and over again, then this is the right place for you. Find Tom Lakos, the most impressive physical trainer I've ever encountered.

I've had a trial session with Tom and am looking forward to working with him longer term. He is very knowledgeable about biomechanics and therefore great for anyone looking for rehabilitative personal training alongside strength and conditioning work, and is able to explain complex things in a clear way. Also a very friendly guy and easy to get along with - I would strongly recommend to anyone considering personal training.
