Definitely a company that achieves quality over quantity. It's peaceful, well kept, great location for exploring and the staff are so friendly.Small shop and pizzarea on site.Dog friendly and has a small fenced area for dogs to be off lead. Hopton Heath train station just a small walk from site which goes to Shrewsbury.

This place was absolutely stunning. The staff couldn't be any more friendlier if they tried! There is a £100 deposit for the lodge, for security, but it's just reserved. The lodge was stunning, with robes and towels for the jacuzzi. The surrounding area was beautiful, we could see the gorgeous hills behind and a lovely lake in front of us. There was a play area, which had a climbing frame, tyre swing and little tractors to ride, which my kids loved. There was a shop and little cafe and bar, and a pizzeria in the evening, which was delicious. There are also bikes you can hire for the day, to take a trip around the cycle routes. A lovely stay, definitely be back.

Gave a 1 star as there is no less, we paid early check In to arrive and accommodation not ready! When we got to cabin not sure what they were cleaning as there was dog nose marks on windows, Gravy still on dinner table, smelt of dog, radiators an bins full of rust, shower door broke and black damp patches, bedroom draws didn't open as to close to wadrobe, but to top it off under the bed was 3 dirty socks, dirty hanky and 1 pair of worn dirty black pants! Disgusting! When the owner came she wasn't happy I made a complaint she said they dont check under beds after every turn over? Well they should! she got out the hoover to clean an the smell of it was awful like wet dog, now I got 2 dogs but doesn't mean I live in a dog house! So they moved us that even didn't have extractor fan working and dust everywhere and when i stripped beds the pillow case liners were all ripped, an that was meant to be a upgrade they charged me for! As they now have taken £75 out my account which SHOULD NOT have been taken as the card was held for breakages which there wasn't any, infact I always pay for late check out to do a full clean before I leave as I think I should leave a cabin the way I should find one!! I asked to be moved to another cabin she chose the one not me! So I rang the owner about the money to have her shouting on the phone VERY PROFESSIONAL! So not only did I loose a complete day waiting to be moved they had the cheek to stop money unlawfully out my account which I'm now taking up with hoseasons and visa, I'm posting pictures as they don't lie! I would never recommend this place holidays are to enjoy not to cause stress!!!

We stayed here recently for a few nights and were drawn to the 'tranquil' setting described on the website. Unfortunately, another lodge was being built just a few metres from ours. Throughout our stay there was a digger outside our lodge, building materials being regularly brought to the site, and other machinery being used to build foundations. This was so noisy and disruptive we had to keep the doors and windows closed throughout. We used the hot tub once but were uncomfortable to find builders right in front of us when we got out. We were not informed of the building work prior to our stay and received no response from management when we complained. The setting is otherwise pleasant and the lodges well equipped, although be aware of the extras you have to pay for. Wifi was advertised as free but cost £6 a day, which we found out on arrival. High chairs and barbecues also had an additional cost.

We visited Ashlea Pools because it's a dog friendly park. The log cabin was furnished to a high standard and stopless. The hottub was great. We loved walking around the lakes and site with our dog.Freshly cooked pizza was amazing too.Thank you, we'll be back.

Location & rooms ok.We’ve been here twice, pay for early check in, spend money at their restaurant and leave the lodge spotless. This year we checked in and shortly after reported that the TV in the lodge was cracked, we weren’t offered to move lodge we were actually then blamed for this. After checking out we were told the TV needed paying for somehow and we can either pay £350 (for an old Toshiba not even a smart tv) or we can rebook with them for January, take out their holiday insurance and claim the damages back then. To summarise we were offered the options of paying over the odds for an old TV which was damaged on arrival or commit insurance fraud but the manager said and I quote “don’t worry we’ve done this before”. We recorded the whole conversation because we could not believe this was how they handled business and felt we were being involved in some kind of insurance scam to obtain more money from guests. I refused to pay for the damages until they could prove the TV was functioning on check in, the manager insisted they had evidence of this and would email me this over along with an itemised invoice on how they reached the £350 charge. Soon after the phone call they had deducted with no authorisation £350 from our account. When contacted about this the manager Leanne just said they are allowed to do that because we authorised a deposit on check in and was told then we needed to check the TV for damage before settling in to the lodge, seems a little suspicious considering this conversation never happened. None the less we retraced our copy of the check in form which only states that £100 will be held as a deposit and no more. To cut the story short they stopped responding to email and we are requesting a refund through the bank and putting a complaint in with hoseasons. I’ll also be contacting further to report the ongoing potential fraud activity that is being advised to us on recording. Please be careful giving your card information to this place, I can see a previous review from 2 months ago had a very similar incident.

Lovely lodge we stayed in. Clean and everything you need for self catering. Hot tub was fab and was cleaned everyday. Fishing lake and there is a cafe and a mini drinking bar, with also a few essentials for self catering. For children there is a small play equipment. Not alot near to the campsite that you can walk too eg a pub or a shop for essentials.

Lovely environment, couldnt sit outside as there were no chairs just a table and 2 benches, who wants to sit on a bench all dayBeds small as when you turn over you nearly fall out of bed. Lovely lounge area dining area and kitchen. Couldnt get catch up tv not available. Lovely and safe for the dogs and great dog run. Jacuzzi was great.
