We used to love going here, for the pub and especially the restaurant. Great friendly atmosphere and great food. It has dropped its standards in the restaurant as it classes it as part of the pub now. So expect people to be standing and talking loudly whilst you're trying to have a lovely meal with friends and family. We will still drink here but we won't be eating in this restaurant unless there's a big change in management attitude as he was pretty rude when we and the table next to us complained.

The staff was friendly but the food was substandard. The sticky toffee pudding, which I was very much looking forward to eating, was toffee-less, sickeningly sweet and tasted and smelt of baking powder. Don't ever order one there, it'll put you off for life!!!

Chose this pub for birthday meal as had heard such amazing things about the food. Unfortunately were left disappointed as didn't know the pub had been taken over recently, so it wasn't at all what we were expecting. Food is now mediocre at best and too expensive for what it is. Won't go there to eat again, but pretty place for a drink if your in Goring and can afford it!

Arrived at 14.30 Saturday, beers lovely. Asked if still doing food, advertised on their website as all day Saturday, girl looked at the clock and said had just finished. Really? Even supposed to be until 15.00 during the week.

A regular pub serving mostly fried food. Food quality is very generic. The souther fried chicken burger was over fried, so a little burnt. Prawn tempura and onion rings used the same batter, which is wrong. Prawn tempura should use lighter batter. Duck spring roll and gammon steak were okay. Dessert, apple crumble is alright.

Popped here for lunch after a wedding fair. Charming pub with very nice food. I can't comment on the beers as I was driving. If we do get married down the road we will look at taking summer rooms so we'll review those in due course. Staff were young and friendly and they looked after my mother's dietary requirements very well

Expected more from this pub when we visited yesterday lunchtime in high temperatures. The waitresses were friendly but apologetic when telling me that a tab could not be set up for outside seating. Each round has to be paid for separately as would the meal we were planning. Moved inside and found a table near the toilet entrance. The whole area did not feel very clean. The menu cards were grubby and the prices seemed excessive. There was not much available for the vegetarian. An orange and soda was made with squash rather than the expected orange juice. We finished our drinks and went to the cafe down the road where the food was excellent.

As a George Michael fan, this was just perfect. The rooms are clean and beautifully done. The pub has a great atmosphere. Food is average but made up by everything else.

We love visiting Goring and usually include dropping in to The Miller for a drink and something to eat.The pub is situated in a great setting and is inviting and cosy. There are references to the late George Michael who lived locally and this was his local. I’m not sure what he would of made of our experience today though. We ordered a Sunday roast, I immediately noticed the food wasn’t very warm, but the last straw was the (advertised) half a roast chicken which turned out to be, literally, half a dehydrated sparrow. A member of staff said ‘they would see what they could do’ but rather put off we paid for our drinks and left.Mistakes can happen, but we consider this inexcusable.
