Very efficient from start to finish. I had both eyes done within 2 months. Staff were all very friendly and put you at ease.

My husband attended this clinic to undergo laser treatment. following on from a cataract operation done elsewhere some time previously.CHEC was recommended by his optician, and he duly went along on the day of his appointment. The offhand and hostile receptionist took his details, with no welcoming smile, 'good afternoon or please take a seat' and his procedure was carried out by a young woman, who very swiftly despatched the treatment, and he was sent home without any post procedural aftercare instructions, such as a prescription for antibiotic eyedrops or anything else. One week later, his vision in his eye saw no improvement, and he contacted CHEC, who advised him to speak to his optician, this he duly did, and after some discussion, he opted to seek further treatment privately at the Lancashire Eye Clinic in Lytham.Apparently the hole cut by the laser was insufficiently large and had to be redone at a cost of over £400.00, plus two private prescriptions for antibiotic eyedrops to prevent any infection..We wrote to CHEC and complained about their poor quality of treatment, and asked for his money to be refunded, as my husband was very dubious about allowing CHEC anywhere near his eyes again. After much correspondence, CHEC denied all liability and basically told my husband they were not paying out anything for botched treatment. The moral of this story is that if you value your eyesight, don't permit CHEC to carry out any procedures or treatment, or you could end up in a similar situation to my husband, with no improvement to your condition, and forced to seek an alternative with far superior standards of care than CHEC.

Blackpool should be hugely proud & supportive of this 1st class facility. My 3rd visit yesterday, this time for cataract surgery, was exemplary of the professional excellence of the wonderful staff at CHEC. From my experience, I am confident any prospective patient will receive the highest standard of care. I will certainly arrange for my next eye op to be performed here.

I had my R eye lasered with no problem - today my L eye - person could not arrange chin rest and forehead guard in sync - couldn't get eye guard into eye - after 3 attempts told me I had very small eyes - waited an hour with no procedure carried out - I believe person lacking in confidence and not competent

Sylvia Davies already attends this clinic for glaucoma and was recommended by glaucoma doctor to have a cataract removed which I duly had yesterday. Surprisisingly I already have the benefit of better vision looking forward to the future. Thank you everybody at the clinic for their care and attention yesterday.

Nice place, nice staff. The doctor I saw was probably the most cheerful one I've ever seen in my life, and not in an overbearing way. Just genuinely pleasant. Had my examination and surgery was booked for five days later. Couldn't really have been any quicker.

CHEC sent me to Roberts and Quinn opticians in Cleveleys for my routine glaucoma test. This was more local and convenient for me. Following detached retina i now experience monocular vision. I always get anxious before appointments. The optician was kind and informative. He displayed patience and understanding towards me. Please pass on my thanks. All sorted for another 6 months- phew.

I was slightly apprehensive before attending the eye clinic for my cataract operation. But I needn't have worried, the whole experience went calmly and professionally. I was put at ease from start to finish. The staff are all friendly and make you feel well looked after. Thank you Community Eye Care, Blackpool.
