Manor vets is great if you are looking for a practice that have a several different vets to draw on in terms of experience, as well as a 24 hours emergency service, hospital, and access to state of the art equipment like CT scans, MRIs etc. If your pet has life long or complex conditions, then this can make a huge difference, as you won't need to keep being bounced back and forth between your local practice and a specialist like here for a referral. They also have exotic specialists, and have links with more bespoke or hands on services that can refer to like physiotherapists or home hospice care for end of life patients who need care at home. The vets tend to stay up to date with research and techniques and have the best treatments normally. However, they are part of a larger chain, and are more expensive, compared to some high street vets. The extra money isn't going into the pocket of the vets themselves but the owners, but the mark up on the drugs is significant. If you don't have insurance, this might make a dent in your pocket. If you are struggling for money and aren't able to afford insurance, then perhaps PDSA would be a better option for someone looking to meet the medical needs of their pets. They do have 2 administrators based in the office who handle all of the insurance paperwork who are very helpful with getting it all sorted though, and I've been extremely grateful for them over the years.Veterinary costs have also increased a lot in the last 12 months across the board, as have insurance premiums, so this is worth bearing in mind.I've used them alongside other vets (fostering for a rescue means I sometimes have to use their approved vets) for over ten years now, and they are the only place I take my pets. The vets are diligent, and I've received calls from the same vet at 8am, and then again at 10pm, showing the long hours they pull. When my pets have stayed in overnight for critical care, I've been able to phone and get updates on how they are doing. They've been supportive of my needs as a disabled pet owner as well to ensure that we are well supported as a family. On the rare ocassion over the decade I've needed to make a complaint, it's been well handled.

I have been to various good vets with my guinea pigs but since seeing Mikel here, I’ve realised just how clueless some of them have been. It’s really worth going to an exotics expert like manor vets for this reason. Mikel is so knowledgable when it comes to all the latest info on exotics such as guineas and rabbits and is also an excellent surgeon — I won’t go anywhere else now.

Went along for a consultation with Jack for our bearded dragon. Jack was really thorough, helpful with the specific concern and with general welfare, and very patient with the questions of three children! Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We all felt very well cared for!

Professional with a warm hearted service from this practice. My pets wellbeing is always taken good care of with no stress to them. I find this a great help and know my pet will always be happy to return because of the care they give to them.

Friendly staff and the vet successfully removed a large bladder stone from our guinea pig without surgery. We were referred there by our local vet as they were not confident enough to do it. We have been a few times before with other guinea pigs and have always been happy with the results.

Never had any issues with Manor Vets. And particularly the vet we saw a few days ago for our tortoise was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The Reception staff are all super helpful and polite.

Amazing! A month ago I had to put my ferret down, when my other ferret began getting poorly I thought this would be the case again. The exotic vet was amazing and knew exactly what was going on, I have been giving my pet medication for only 2 days now and she is already a lot better. It was a bit far for me to travel to but it was worth it as all the vets near me would tell me things were wrong when really they had no clue what was going on. I have 3 ferrets and will be bringing them all here from now on. The vet also gave me medication for my other 2 ferrets at home to stop the spread of any nasties which I thought was amazing, he already gave me the medication and told me the dosage after I weighed them over the phone once I got home so I didn’t have to make another journey.

This vets is fantastic. We’ve had a few visits at this one and the Harborne one for our two cats, and they are so knowledgable and caring. Ben and Jocelyn are fantastic and so gentle with our cats. Prices are always reasonable and they’re always able to fit us in when we need to be seen. Highly recommend.
