Excellent hosts !! Very kind and welcoming ! They couldn't have done enough!Excellent facilities!Quiet and cosy rooms finished to a high standard!Pool table and games area is brilliant !!!!Really enjoyed the stay. Felt very comfortable and safe throughout the stay.Will definitely be back in the future:)

Had the most amazing time here! The service was extraordinary and spa facilities were great! We played games till late in the night and Stephen was great with showing us around and made us feel very welcome! Will definitely love to go back again!

Amazing place! Great facilities! Friendly owners.. great communal space.. need the footage when we played pool - absolute jokes after a few drinks.. the area is gorgeous and everything is in a 20 minute walk radius! Great area and atmosphere.. even went to a quiz night at a local place! Definitely recommend :)

Fantastic location, heart of Southsea shops and restaurants within minutes of accommodation. Enjoyed the hot tub and steam room. Fantastic rooms with great facilities and friendly, welcoming staff. Luxury but done very well.

Booked this trip as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday and it could not have been more perfect ! From the friendly introduction from the hosts Steve and Mubi to the tour of the property and a very kind and very much appreciated room upgrade with a happy birthday sign ! We couldn’t have asked for anything better than what we got while staying here. The hot tub was amazing and we left feeling so relaxed. We can’t wait to come back and we will definitely recommend Ashbys to everyone we know.

Just returned from my hen weekend at ashbys house. The accommodation was fantastic, perfect hosts and a brilliant location. All my girls couldn't fault the place. The spa was a really lovely added bonus. I would highly recommend booking this place, whether it be for the entire place for a weekend or just a room. Thank you to Stephen and his wife for being great hosts and providing the perfect setting for the most perfect weekend.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Most likely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had and I’ve stayed in a lot of places. The owners were very helpful and friendly, and they went out of their way to help when we had questions or needed something. The location is very quiet and right near the water and the many restaurants in town. I 100% recommend this place to anyone heading to Portsmouth.

So glad we stumbled across this gem! Ashby's is super close to everything Southsea has to offer. The room was really lovely and Mubi even showed us around and let us choose which room we'd like.The hosts were amazing and super organised making everything really easy for getting settled in, and the communal space was something else.We were out for the night with friends but made use of the pool table and communal space after our evening which was such a bonus to have.The morning of our check-out we booked an exclusive spa visit which was sooooo nice, and just what we needed to detox and relax a bit before returning home.Thank you Steve and Mubi, we're already trying to find another excuse to escape the kids and come back!
