Breakfast should have been included to make up for the poor standard of room. So paying for a Double room-Superior-Ensuite, I expected something like in the pictures! Well, we got a room with two single beds pushed together, we couldn't cuddle up due to the lump between us. The cups were stained, when picking up the kettle, there is disgusting muck inside the stand. Going to fill the kettle up the taps are dirty around the bottom, the plastic around the bottom of the shower glass is black.. soak it in the bath with bleach for 5 mins.. there is scum between the tiles, they don't take 5 mins to scrub with a brush.When going to the toilet it wobbled and I nearly fell off.According to the website, most of the facilities listed aren't included, the seating area for two people had 1 chair! Our room was next to the front door and we heard the door banging every time somebody went in or out of the building. Do not be fooled by the beautiful pictures shown on the site.I wouldn't recommend this place and won't stop again.

Stopped off for lunch at the cafe whilst travelling through the area. Very friendly staff and decent, reasonably priced food. Happily recommend.

Asked if it's possible to have the breakfast served vegan. “Vegan???” the woman behind the till exclaims as if I’d just sworn at her. As the breakfast can be chosen with different options I was hoping to get hash browns, beans, toast, tomatoes and mushrooms so asked if it’s possible to have them vegan i.e. not cooked in butter or served with butter. She said well the hash browns are cooked in fryers with meat, I said that's fine, she said the mushrooms are cooked in butter I asked would it be ok to cook the mushrooms in oil she complained the chef would have to empty the pans, she then said it would be an hour and a half wait - with no other option as the lost arc was shut and we were with 4 people we had to just put the order through.It was all quite rude and patronising - I’ve never been spoken to like that ever in a restaurant before.The other non vegan members of our table said they were told it’s only a 30 minute wait not over an hour like they told us. In the end the food arrived at the same time but was all a bit rude and unnecessary - probably just trying to make us turn around and leave.In hindsight I wouldn’t go here again as a vegan - whatever you think of my dietary choice there’s no need for rudeness and it's standard in restaurants to accommodate different diets today - don't know why it was so difficult for you.The Lost Arc and other places nearby are much more friendly, accommodating and better vegan options. Would recommend going there instead.

First day and I’ve got say what a lovely welcome we received. The room is nice and clean and has everything we need for a 4 night stay. Also got to add fantastic value for money!

Good stuff. Popped in for breakfast, all very tasty and well priced. Quick service even though it was busy.Build your own breakfast perfect for the fussy child!

We dropped in for breakfast and later a cake and a cup of Welsh tea/coffee. The food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced.The egg yolks were still runny in my Wyns Breakfast and my husband loved the fried bread; he hasn't had fried bread in years.Cake, coffee and tea were delicious! Would thoroughly recommend.

What a find this is, such a lovely welcoming surprise for two hungry vegans..Had the choice of at least four mains (vegan lasagne, four bean chill, all day breakfasts & baked potatoes) from the menu and advised if there was anything else we wanted they could do that for us… amazing friendly helpful accommodating staff… special thanks again to the proprietor & our gorgeous bubbly blue haired waitress who couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming..Needless to say after our fabulous lunch and vegan coffees (oat, organic soya and almond milks available) we set off into the hills with a bag of vegan sausage rolls and vegan chocolate cake for tea, what a treat and an absolute delight!Will try to call in on our way home, just too good to miss…

Most times when I visit Rhayader I call in Ty's for breakfast of coffee and cake. I have also stayed in the past. Always good service and amazing cake selection.Some constructive criticism coming now. Crushed avocado with poached eggs... wonderfully poached eggs, perfection, but avocado just chopped up (including some dark bits that personally I would remove) not crushed and all, placed on top of one piece of toast with the other toast underneath.. that seems a bit odd. Divided between the toasts I feel would be better. Did not complain as it detracts from my breakfast experience and the meal was essentially good.

Friendly and helpful staff.The food in the restaurant is tastyGood price - Room clean and a lot space. For longer stays, this is a big advantage.The area is very nice
