A1 Clutches - Birmingham

Gave my car in for a flywheel and clutch replacement, I gave them genuine Audi parts, soon as I got car back I noticed that it struggled to go in gear at times, took car back they checked it and said it was fine, 7 months later I need a new flywheel!!!!! Don’t use this company, they use new staff that haven’t got the experience to do the work. If u want problems then go to these cow boys!!!

Wow...A1 Clutches are the absolute best. I brought the car in on Tuesday and was told it would be ready for Friday. Wednesday I receive a call that the car was ready. Its Saturday now and the car has been driving perfectly. There is so much more that A1 Clutches took care of in the background. I will be returning to update on this review after I check with the company if I am allowed to expand on one aspect. If you want peace of mind I can recommend A1 Clutches unreservedly.

Really poor service and dishonest company. Had a new clutch fitted with a 2 year warranty. Within 12 months the clutch became faulty, when I called up to book my car in explaining that I have a receipt and proof of warranty the person on the phone kept delaying me to come and kept delaying me. When I got to the garage they said they are really busy and to come back the following week.I took my car to an alternative garage who replaced my clutch again and said that a1 clutches had not fitted a brand new clutch, hence it became faulty.Do not use this company if you want quality work done to your car.

Biggest untrustworthy service and warranty!!Please Don’t go there whatever they offered you. They offered me a 2-year warranty to fix my gearbox, which had a problem going to neutral suddenly. They asked me to bring the car, and then they could know what the problem was. After their diagnostic, they said that the problem was in my clutch and they needed to replace it. Then, I paid £834 because I thought that they were experts and their work was guaranteed under a warranty.However, I had the same issue just within 2 weeks!! I called them and they asked me to bring the car and they will reprogram it. I did this but the same problem occurred 3 times, maybe within 1 month, then they said we cannot do anything more since there is another problem now (the actuator, which is connected to the clutch) and they wanted to charge me another £600 to fix it with them!! Or I can take it anywhere else to fix it (the call is recorded!!) I said what about the warranty that you gave me based on your first and wrong diagnostic and now you want to charge me twice for the same problem!? They denied and said their first wrong diagnostic was all right! Then, I told myself these people cannot be trusted anymore and I needed to take it to another workshop based on the advice of the lady who received the calls. I did this, and then the car worked as it was before. However, after 3 weeks the same problem happens again, and I think maybe it just needs to be reprogrammed. Then, the same lady who advised me to take the car to another workshop if I want (this call was recorded!!) said they cannot do anything to the car now since I took it to another workshop (which also is not written in their warranty terms and conditions!!). so please avoid them and don’t be scammed with their warranty. Also if you made a search through the reviews here, and you choose the warranty as a keyword, you will find another people who faced the same situation. So please avoid doing any business with those people to save your money and time!!

I had my clutch repaired and I couldn't be happier, as my car is semi-automatic i struggled to find a garage that could work on it. The staff were lovely and gave me a quote over the phone straight away. I paid the amount I was quoted and the car feels great. Will definitely being going back for any future needs.

Excellent customer service, notified me before any actions taken. Visited twice, for a new clutch and exhaust cat.

Had a great experience at the Birmingham branch. I really appreciated that everything was clearly explained including the cost, gave me a reasonable quotes within detail and communication was excellent every step of the way. I never felt under pressure, Very, very pleased. I would not hesitate to recommend A1 Clutches.
