Rivelin Valley Park
Lovely open space . Love that the kids can paddle in the river as its about 2 inches deep, and stepping stones for them to walk on. Paddling pool looks good but wasn't open (bit early). Picnic areas everywhere and a lovely little cafe and ice cream parlour. Lovely walk through the park. Great for tiring the little ones out

There is a park and cafe. Then you can go as far as you want, in are able along the river Rivelin. It is, in my opinion, the best of all Sheffield rivers

A pleasant and a cool trail to be on a hot summer day. If you travel on the paths closer to the river, the temperature will be pretty nice. The sights are also worth seeing.

Rivelin Valley Park
Ancient woodlands great for dog walking, be sure to check out Rivelin pub for great beers and food. This walk is a few miles long through native woodlands. Plenty of wild life and Herons in the river. There is a popular plunge pool near up to the carpark at the A57 junction, although this is probably one of the worst wild swim spots around. The water is filthy and if the area ever floods all types of sewage and contaminants are in the water. .... BUT!! ....the walk is very nice and you can easily head out to open country and up to the Dams from this spot with free parking and decent facilities including the Rivelin Cafe for a good snack.GL aka GS

Lovely place to walk the dog, with a river and small ponds running up most of it. Great route for walking out of Sheffield and into the Peak District!

Rivelin Valley Park
Great friendly dog walking area. Clean tidy and friendly people. Picked up some ticks but cleared them so on next trip be mindful they are in the area, I'll probably wait till cooler weather and hope they've gone.

Rivelin Valley Park
A relatively fast-flowing river between Rivelin Mill Bridge and Malin Bridge the Rivelin is fed by a constant release of water from the nearby moorland peat.Very beautiful scenes and birds free parking place available , cafe available for tea coffe and snacks.

Rivelin Valley Park
This was our first visit to Rivelin valley Park. We walked alongside the river on the trails and over the stepping stones. The kids played in the playground too. The weather wasn't spectacular but there were still plenty of kids (& adults) paddling in the river & playing in the water park section. The park is beautiful & the area appears to have good maintenance. There are toilets on site which is great, plus an ice cream van & a large cafe (which we didn't visit). There is plenty of picnic ground to sit in with some benches but plenty of space for blankets. I think on a nice day you could definitely spend hours here playing in the river & park.
