Tristan is a great guide. He is very calm, knowledgeable and friendly. Gives you the right amount of support and “push” and always made me feel comfortable and safe.Lovely person too :)Will definitely be asking him to take me up a mountain again!

I was lucky enough to find Tristan as a guide. We corresponded over what’s app as we discussed my needs. I instantly knew Tristan understood where I wanted to go and I wanted to see. Now mind you, I am traveling to meet a man, I’ve never met, at a place I’ve never been. Tristan would respond promptly to me as I traveled and was there when my train arrived. He made me feel comfortable immediately. He is a very kind person and did everything to make me feel at ease. We drove to our location to hike. He explained the area and more as we drove. He is extremely knowledgeable about Scotland. He pushed me to get to the summit and was encouraging the whole way but understanding when I needed a break. (I’m not as young as I used to be!) I enjoyed the experience so much, I flew back the following year for an even longer excursion with Tristan. Right before Covid hit, I was able to do an overnight hike to a remote Bothy. What an amazing experience! It was in the middle of a pretty intense storm but I felt safe. I never once worried because I know Tristan is an experienced guide that would get us up over that mountain in the intense weather. And it was Very intense! We arrived safely at the Bothy and got the fire going. And of course a sip of whisky! Because no Scottish hike is complete without Whisky! Well, at least for me. :) I plan on going back to hike Skye with Tristan. If you are planning on hiring a guide in Scotland, Tristan should be at the top of your list. He caters to any level, will help you to choose your own adventure, will keep you safe, and above all is a kind and a lovely guide. You can’t go wrong.

I booked Tristan this year to fulfill a dream of a special mountain climb. He suggested the second tour adapted to my abilities. The arrangements in advance by email were totally uncomplicated. Tristan is a great guide and person, polite, trustful and very helpful. Next to the hikes he gave me advice for other wonderful locations .Both tours were so amazing. He brings you closer to the nature of Scotland, it' s so easily to trust him for 100%. He is very considerate, responds to your speed and your need for breaks an your requests and motivates excellently. I am very thankful for this experiences and theses great days and looking forward for the next time.Highly recommended.

Honestly, the most incredible experience. Tristan (and Nacho) took the time to understand my skill level and took me on the most amazing journey. My fear of heights disappeared … at least while I was hiking!

Tristan helped me achieve my bucket list goal of climbing a Munro. He was friendly and professional. His expertise was evident and I felt very safe in his care. I needed frequent breaks on the ascent and he was very patient with me and reassuring. I had an amazing experience and I was pleasantly surprised afterwards to receive an email with beautiful photographs from the day. I highly recommend.

Tristan is a great and experienced guide. He prepared a flexible itinerary and took us to great places (including many hidden gems) on the Isle of Skye.Would definitely take him as a guide in the future / recommend to others!

Tristan guided myself and a couple of friends for four days in the Isle of Skye. He tailored the days to our goals and energy levels, was professional, knowledgeable, and generally lovely company.
